Honda CT description

You are bidding on a true barn find. A 1973 Honda Trail 90 that’s all original. I located this beauty in a friend’s barn. It only has 3200 miles. The bike starts on the first kick and runs great. Shifts through all gears, brakes work great. All the lights work. The tires are in good shape I believe they are original. Still has the original auxiliary gas tank that has never been used. Seat is in perfect condition with no rips. The front fender has a slight dent that was touched up with paint and the fork boots are cracked. The kick stand is missing a spring. This is the only missing part. Bike is complete and 100% original. I do not have a title. I will provide a notarized bill of sale if necessary.  I will prepare the bike for shipping by strapping it down to a pallet and shrink wrapping. Buyer must make arrangements for pickup.

Looking after number 1

Fri, 06 Jan 2012

There was a time when a rider’s number indicated his position from the previous season, with the ultimate accolade being the number 1 emblazoned on the front of the champion's bike. The rise of branding in MotoGP and a rider wanting to market themselves, born from Barry Sheene and his retention of no.7, saw riders decide against displaying their finish from the year before. Rossi, who on winning his numerous championships, stuck with his famous #46 in defence of his titles, instead of stamping a great number 1 on his bikes.

MotoGP Approves “Factory 2″ Rules

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

We’re just days away from the start of the 2014 MotoGP season and one would think it’s a little late for series organizers to make any significant rule changes. At least, one would think that if one were unfamiliar with the political back-and-forths going on between the major manufacturers and MotoGP promoter Dorna. But with the season-opening Qatar round about to begin, the Grand Prix Commission approved new rules establishing a compromise between the new Factory and Open options.
