Honda Gold Wing description

1978 Honda GL1000 Goldwing.

Bought this in the spring and was told wasn't going to need much of anything-well that was a crock!!!!!!!!

The title says there is a mileage descrepency-don't know why-speedometer seems to keep accurate mileage.

I have replaced the fuel petcock, all seals around the water pump, swapped out the right front caliper, did a complete tune up-also flushed/cleaned the cooling system and put in new antifreeze.

It has a windjammer fairing-I have the lower fairings to match but won't go on with crash bars.

I have almost an entire parts bike to go with this-complete drive train plus lots of other parts.

I was going to start rebuilding the systems one at a time but I just don't have the time or interest in doing it-to that end I have new fork seals and dust covers, everything to rebuild the braking systems, intake tube seals, kit for air cutoff and exhaust seals.

I put bags and trunk on around a month ago-not honda but functional and gives you more rear lights.

The first picture shows the crash bars I put on it-the second picture shows the crash bars that were on it when I got it (I have two sets of these).

In the second picture you will note the side cover is not on-I replaced the twist lock pins on both sides so both covers are on there.

If you need more info or are in the area and want to see it let me know.

EICMA 2011 Preview: 2012 Honda Integra Specs Released

Tue, 25 Oct 2011

Honda has released specifications and new photographs of its new 670cc Integra motorcycle/scooter crossover which will make its public debut at the 2011 EICMA show in Milan. While the hybrid model may not be for everyone, the engine details are important as Honda has announced it will also debut two additional models at EICMA using the same power plant. The 2012 Honda Integra, named according to Honda for integrating “the ease of use of a scooter with the dynamic performance of a motorcycle”, uses an all new 670cc parallel Twin engine with a second generation version of Honda’s dual clutch transmission.

Day 2 Dakar 2014: Sunderland Wins First Special Stage

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Honda won the second day of competition with Team HRC’s Sam Sunderland claiming victory in the first special stage of this year’s Dakar. Sunderland has had a frustrating time at previous Dakars, dropping out after three days of racing in 2012 and withdrawing a month before last year’s event due to fracturing both his wrists. Today, however, Sunderland made a grand entrance into the club of elite riders by brilliantly winning his first special stage of this year’s Dakar. Having started well behind his teammate, Joan Barreda, the 23-year old Brit superbly overtook Michael Metge and Juan Pedrero on the first part of the route.

Rossi vs. Schumacher

Fri, 14 Nov 2008

When I was a kid, my friends and I would always have this debate on who would be fastest in a race, Superman or the Flash. I always felt that the Flash would be faster because speed’s his thing. He wears a lightning bolt on his chest because he’s as fast as lightning.
