Honda Gold Wing description

Interstate Goldwing in exceptional shape. Always garaged and well taken care of. Everthing on the bike is functional and needs nothing but a rider. Recent work performed on the bike includes a new Honda made Stator assembly, new clutch installed, new radio install, new battery, carbs cleaned and new fuel filter and recent oil change and new oil filter, as well as new brakes. All work was done professionaly. Having a new stator installed makes this bike very desirable due to the high cost of having the install done. The Stator assembly is located in the back of the motor, thus requiring the removal of the motor from the motorcycle. In the process of this work the carbs were cleaned and the bike was entirely gone through to assure proper function. 57,990 miles on the bike making it a baby in comparison to how long these bikes will last. The body is in very nice  condition. The exhaust is very nice overall as well. The tires are in good overall usable shape.    Any questions, please ask. Arrangements can easily be made to see the bike. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.  A good shipping service is U-Ship.    Pickup or just ride it is always ok as well.  Please call Peter at 203-915-8663 leave message if no answer.

Schoolboy Heroes

Fri, 04 Mar 2011

A wet and grey day in Calais in 1992 wouldn’t be the obvious situation for a life changing experience, but for a 11 year old lad on a boring booze cruise from Dover this is exactly what happened. Pockets bulging with funny money I headed to the Tabac for the obligatory bangers, dirty playing cards and some sweets.  Then it happened, I stood in front of the magazine rack and reached up, as if drawn by an external force.  At the time I wasn’t tall enough for Playboy or L’ Escort so settled for a copy of Moto Verte, the French motocross mag.  Life would never be the same again. Inside there was a double page spread, with a fresh faced Jeremy McGrath resting a leg over his #15 Honda CR125.  Sporting a pair of fluro MX trousers with a, now retro, bright white surname emblazoned jersey, and casting an eye over a seriously vast motocross park.  I stared at this Sinisalo advert all the way home, partly because all the articles were in foreign, but also because I was transfixed.  What and how do I become a motocross champion?

2014 Mugen Shinden San Revealed

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

Mugen have released these pictures of the 2014 Shinden San (three), the electric racebike Honda’s performance subsidiary is hoping will take victory at this year’s Isle of Man TT Zero event. The past two years the Mugen motorcycles have come second to the radical E1pc Motoczysz machines piloted by Michael Rutter. Details are relatively basic at the moment, but underneath the bodywork, Mugen says the latest Shinden sees lithium-ion battery mated to an oil-cooled three-phase brushless motor producing 134 hp and a whopping 162 ft.-lbs.

MotoGP Approves “Factory 2″ Rules

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

We’re just days away from the start of the 2014 MotoGP season and one would think it’s a little late for series organizers to make any significant rule changes. At least, one would think that if one were unfamiliar with the political back-and-forths going on between the major manufacturers and MotoGP promoter Dorna. But with the season-opening Qatar round about to begin, the Grand Prix Commission approved new rules establishing a compromise between the new Factory and Open options.
