Every year, race fans flock to Daytona Beach, FL, for one of the biggest and most fun events of the season: Daytona Bike Week. To boost that fun factor even higher, Honda has established the Honda Daytona Kick-Off Party as one of the must-do happenings during Bike Week. Be sure to come join the Honda Supercross and GNCC Red Riders to celebrate the start of Daytona Bike Week and the Supercross by Honda on Friday, March 7, 6-8 p.m., at Honda’s Main Display Area (look for the new location of the Honda tents, just east of turn 4).

WSBK 2013: Jerez Race Report

Eugene Laverty did everything he could, scoring a pair of race wins but it was not enough as Tom Sykes rode smartly and conservatively at the season finale in Spain, securing his first ever World Superbike Championship. Sykes landed in Jerez with a 37-point lead over Laverty and a 38-point lead over Sylvain Guintoli. While Laverty battled Marco Melandri to win Race One, Sykes coasted comfortably in third for most of the race to score 16 points, enough to clinch the title.

Maybe the Evo class is the future for WSB?

Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.
