Honda Gold Wing description

 2010 Honda Goldwing GL18BM (Airbag)

Purchased New (One Owner): 27 June 2011

For Sale is a beautiful 2010, 1800cc Gold Wing with the air bag and only 15,600 miles. One owner, I bought it new in June 2011.  The GL18BM is their top of the line, truly loaded model which includes everything on the lower models; Comfort, ABS, Navigation, XM Radio, plus the air bag. Color is Metallic Titanium.  Not a scratch, meticulously maintained and includes several add-on's such as upgraded Wingsoft Bike Solutions seat, rear spoiler with brake light, LED driving lights, switchblade highway pegs, trailer hitch and wiring (never pulled a trailer - don't own one), deluxe saddle bag and trunk liners, trunk lid pouch, cup holder, fairing pocket zippered pouch, wired for iPod, full cover with bag and a transferable extended warranty (to 28 June 2018), etc.

1832cc, liquid-cooled, six-cylinder Boxer engine with single cams and two valves per cylinder. It features Honda’s Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system and develops 118 hp at 5500 rpm and 125 lb-ft torque at 4000 rpm.  The engine is coupled to a five-speed gearbox with overdrive and an electric reverse with power sent to the rear wheel through a shaft final drive.

This Gold Wing includes electronic remote adjustable preload on the rear suspension for even greater long-distance comfort.  The symbol of motorcycle touring is now even safer because it has C-ABS and airbags.  It includes a very comfortable Wingsoft seat upgrade, positioned just 29.1 inches from the ground (I have a 30" inseam and stand flat-footed at the stop light), integrated navigation system and multi-function display.  Additional add-ons include:

Rear Spoiler with Brake light

LED Foglights

Wired for iPod

Fairing Pocket Zippered Pouch

No snow here folks!

Fri, 31 Dec 2010

An erratic work schedule combined with a full season of kids racing means, there aren’t many opportunities during the summer months for the Mackenzie family to grab a holiday. Instead, we tend to save our pennies and head off somewhere sunny for Christmas. I love doing this as it shortens the UK winter but more importantly it means I miss the festive frenzy.  I do like Christmas, but I hate how everyone gets caught up in the retail madness that kicks off just before Halloween, then has everyone stressed (and skint)before Santa has even hitched up his sleigh.

Isle of Man TT 2014: Sure Sidecar 1 Results

Mon, 02 Jun 2014

It was a long time coming, but sidecar racer Conrad Harrison can add one accomplishment to his resume: Isle of Man TT winner. Harrison, along with passenger Mike Aylott won the first of two Sure Sidecar TT races. The win was the first for Harrison since he made his Isle of Man TT debut 21 years ago in 1993.

2014 Honda CRF250R Announced

Tue, 14 May 2013

Honda has completely overhauled its CRF250R motocross bike for 2014, offering an all-new engine and an aluminum beam frame inherited from the CRF450R. With a claimed weight of 231 pounds, the 2014 model is actually 4 pounds heavier than the 2013 model, but the new updates are designed to improve mass centralization, with Honda claiming it to be more flickable and nimble than before. According to Honda, the new frame weighs 20.6 pounds, while the main frame spars meet the steering head lower than on the previous frame, helping lower the center of gravity.
