Honda Other description

Up for your consideration is a 1969 K1 Candy Ruby Red MiniTrail Z50A in excellent unrestored original condition.

Frame: Z50A-151647
Engine: Z50AE-151275

This is an Arizona bike that has been in storage a long time.  I found it here in Tucson, AZ.  I put oil and gas in it and it fired right up.  It runs great, shifts great, does not smoke or leak.  It’s a very nice Z50.  This is my favorite year for the Z50.  The 1969 K1 Z50 is the second model iteration and has the small fender in the rear, lights and a battery, no right side foot brake lever and is still the classic “hard-tail.”  They have the cleanest lines and are super cute.

This is about as nice as you can expect to find in unrestored condition for a Z50.  This is everything I look for in a minitrail.  It’s a silver tag bike which is neat.  The big number 8’s on the fasteners, the correct and original split-seam seat, Nitto Tires, straight handlebars, original ignition key, correct tail light lens, and everything in place and working.  The battery is currently out and will be included with the sale. It was removed for storage and I have not re-installed it.

The appearance is excellent for an unrestored minitrail.  It has zero corrosion on the chrome.  There is no pitting anywhere on the bike.   It has very light surface hazing on the aluminum on the engine but I would consider all the metal surfaces in excellent condition for an original bike.  This is proof it has been in a dry climate.  I don’t usually see CT’s or Z50’s this clean.

I know shipping is a concern for many people.  I have a motorcycle shipper that I can put you in contact with.  He has coordinated shipping for me a number of times at reasonable prices.  Some patience on timing is required depending on where you live.  The bikes are shipped complete with a motorcycle transporter and arrive COD.

Please reply with any questions and I will contact you as soon as possible.

Thanks for your interest!

Barber Recognized by Guinness as World’s Largest Motorcycle Museum

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Guinness World Records has officially recognized the Barber Motorsports Museum as the world’s largest motorcycle museum in the world. The 144,000-square-foot, five-story museum is home to nearly 1400 motorcycles, of which about 700 are on exhibit. We’ve featured the Barber Museum before, and are completely blown away each time we step foot within its doors. It’s simply awe-inspiring.

WSBK 2013: Aragon Race Report

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

BMW Motorrad Goldbet racer Chaz Davies scored his first career World Superbike double victory, taking both races at Spain’s Aragon circuit. The wins were the second and third of Davies’ WSBK career (the first came last year at Nurburgring for the ParkinGo Aprilia team) and the second ever double in the series for BMW. The Welsh rider and former AMA Pro Racing competitor has had some success at Aragon, getting his first career WSBK podium at the Spanish track in 2012.

Hot on-board laps of Cadwell with Josh Brookes

Thu, 30 Sep 2010

You've got to be reasonably mental to ride a 200bhp Superbike on slicks around the narrow cart track that is Cadwell Park. We've met Josh Brookes a few times and we can vouch that he qualifies highly for the task in hand. That's a compliment, by the way.
