THIS IS A RECENT REAL BARN FIND, A 1972 HONDA SL175 MOTOSPORT WITH ONLY 1994. ORIGINAL MILES. BIKE LOOKS TO BE ALL ORIGINAL INCLUDING THE BRIDGESTONE TIRES. WHEN WE GOT IT THE LEFT SIDE COVER WAS MISSING SO WE AQUIRED A NOS NEW ORIGINAL HONDA ONE FOR IT. THE BIKE WAS JUST SERVICED BY A CERTIFIED HONDA TECH. AND STARTS RIGHT UP AND RUNS AND RIDES GREAT. INSIDE THE GAS TANK HAD SOME SURFACE RUST SO IT WAS CLEANED AND SEALED INSIDE. THE BIKE IN GENERAL IS IN GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION BUT IT DOES HAVE SOME RUST SPOTS ON THE UPPER FORK TUBES, HEADLIGHT EARS, AND SOME OF THE OTHER CHROMED PIECES. SEAT IS IN GREAT SHAPE WITH NO CRACKS, CUTS OR RIPS AND STILL HAS THE TOOL KIT MOUNTED UNDERNEATH. ALL THE LIGHTS, HORN ETC. WORK FINE. BIKE COMES WITH A CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE. Here, Belgian native Xavier Simeon, the 2009 FIM Superstock 1000 champion and current Moto2 competitor, does a couple flying laps around his home track aboard a Honda CBR600RR at what appears to be a trackday. The speed he carries and the smoothness of his riding are simply extraordinary.
2014 AMA Supercross – Seattle Results
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Ryan Villopoto won his fifth race of the season while James Stewart took second place to just barely remain in contention for the 2014 AMA Supercross title. Meanwhile it was a bitter-sweet podium for third-place finisher KTM‘s Ryan Dungey who was officially mathematically eliminated from title contention. Racing in his home town of Seattle, Wash., Villopoto led every lap en route to an easy win, his fifth of the season.
Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season
Wed, 04 Dec 2013More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.
