1976 Honda Other on 2040-motos
Honda Other tech info
Honda Other description
Up for auction is a 1976 Honda MR175 with additional parts. I accompanied the original owner of this motorcycle to the House of Honda in 1976 when his dad purchased this bike for him. We had lots of fun riding this motorcycle through the woods near his home for a few years, after which it sat in his garage for over 20 years. I purchased the bike from the original owner around 1998 and had to clean out the fuel system, carburetor and gas tank to get it running again. My son used the bike for a few years and it sat again in my garage from 2010 until a few months ago. Unfortunately, the fuel went bad and I had to clean out the carburetor and tank again. The bike runs great, but I did put a different used gas tank on it to get it running quicker. The bike runs just like I always remember it running. Starts up with a kick or two on the kick starter. Please note the tires are original and should be replaced. Lights work, however the speedometer is missing the bulb for illumination. Click link below to see a video of the bike running after a cold start. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gvye1RFp0U This auction also includes the following additional items for the bike, which are shown in the photos.
Please note that the photo of the inside of the fuel tank is the fuel tank currently on the bike and not of the spare fuel tank that came with the bike when new. The outside of the spare fuel tank is in much better condition than the outside of the fuel tank on the bike. The inside of the spare tank was coated at one time, but would need to be re-coated to be usable due to surface rust. I do not have any paperwork for the bike except the owners manual. This sale will include a "bill of sale only". Please do not bid if you do not have the funds to make a purchase. A non refundable deposit of $200 is required via Pay Pal within 48 hours of the auction closing. Buyer is responsible for arranging and payment of shipping. Local pickup only. Please email me with any questions. Thanks and happy bidding.... Anthony

Rossi and Hayden Find Improvement but Disappointed with Results
Thu, 01 Mar 2012The good news for Valentino Rossi is he managed to narrow the gap in lap times between his Ducati Desmosedici and Casey Stoner‘s Honda RC213V. The bad news is other riders improved more than he did. Rossi completed 57 laps and set a time of 2:01.550 on the third and final day of the second MotoGP test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit.

AMA Supercross: 2012 Arlington Results
Tue, 21 Feb 2012Defending champion Ryan Villopoto won his third consecutive AMA Supercross race in Arlington, Texas, but the victory was overshadowed by a season-ending injury suffered by one of his main challengers Chad Reed. TwoTwo Motorsport Honda‘s Reed trailed Villopoto in second place for the first six laps at Cowboys Stadium. Disaster struck on Lap 7 however as Reed crashed hard in the whoops.
