Up for sale is a 1978 Honda CX500. The bike has been sitting since the mid 80's and will need gone through. It turns over with compression, shifts through the gears, and rolls freely. Tires appear to be in good shape still.. The throttle cable is broke and there are no mufflers. The tank doesn't appear to be rusted inside. Overall, as you can see in the pics it is in pretty decent shape and would be a great winter project with a lot of potential. I think it would clean up very well. WSBK 2013: Jerez Race Report
Mon, 21 Oct 2013Eugene Laverty did everything he could, scoring a pair of race wins but it was not enough as Tom Sykes rode smartly and conservatively at the season finale in Spain, securing his first ever World Superbike Championship. Sykes landed in Jerez with a 37-point lead over Laverty and a 38-point lead over Sylvain Guintoli. While Laverty battled Marco Melandri to win Race One, Sykes coasted comfortably in third for most of the race to score 16 points, enough to clinch the title.

The bike that Wayne is likely to be riding is special VFR750F, that was given the codename '6X'. The VFR was an experiment with prototype components including titanium valves and magnesium flat-slide carburetors, the result was the bike that weighed less than a factory RC30.
