Honda Other description

The Honda CM400 was a street bike produced by the Honda Motor Company from 1979 to 1982, part of a series of motorcycles with the prefix 'CM' using various engine capacities. Models included the CM400A (Automatic), CM400C (Custom), CM400E (Economy) and CM400T (Tach).

The Honda CM series all generally resembled the older-style flat-seat bikes from the 60s and 70s, with the exception of a slightly raised passenger area seat and small plastic fairings for the battery and electrical.

This CM400C was produced only in 1981 making it one of the more rare model types. Some of the differences between this model and others are Standard transmission, Dual caliper front disk brake, comstar wheels, Tachometer, Air assisted forks with drain plug, and the custom quilted style seat.

This bike is in great riding condition for a daily driver, and is good on gas! It runs and sounds smooth with all working electric. A new battery has just been placed on the bike. There are a few spots with paint chipping on side cover and a minor dent in the gas tank, which can be seen in the photos. Only minor signs of surface rust. The tires and quilted seat are in great clean condition. Overall, this is a great RARE bike to be cruising in.

We encourage and are happy to arrange inspections, we are located in Indianapolis, IN.

Fri, 09 Sep 2011

Two-time World Superbike Champion James Toseland announced his immediate retirement from motorcycle racing due to a debilitating injury to his right wrist. Signed with the BMW Motor Italia racing team, Toseland has been limited to just seven of 20 races in this season’s WSBK Championship due to the wrist injury initially suffered during a private test at Spain’s Aragon circuit in March. After undergoing an operation for the injury, Toseland made two attempts at returning to racing, first at the Miller Motorsports Park round in May and again at the Silverstone round in July.
