My wife and I located this bike in Ohio a couple of years ago where it had been in heated storage for the past 29 years due to the original purchaser passing away . When we bought it , it had 250 miles on it and it now has 580 miles on it. My wife no longer rides it due to a pinched spinal nerve which makes her left arm go numb after 20 minutes of riding. So she has asked me to list the bike to the next lucky owner or collector of vintage motorcycles. I am taking my Harley down to Florida in my enclosed trailer in October for Biketoberfest so I am willing to deliver the bike for free anywhere along the I 75 corridor between Detroit Mich. and St. Augustine Fla. for the winning bidder. This is a really sharp 1982 Honda 450 and you would be hard pressed to find another like it anywhere . These bikes were no slouches either. From the factory they had 45 horsepower and were capable of 1/4 mile speeds of 13 seconds. ( I got that information from the Honda website .) I havent tried to see how responsive the bike is as I have my own bike and I dont beat on it either. Bid to win , its worth it. Tue, 25 Aug 2009Based on the concept model unveiled last October at Intermot 2008, the new motorcycle is expected to be a sport-tourer powered by a 1200cc V-4 engine with variable cylinder technology which can allow it to run on only two cylinders to conserve fuel. There are also rumors that the motorcycle will have a semi-auto gear box which will give the rider the option of going manual or automatic. Honda has a dedicated website for the V4 where you can enter for a chance to win a spot to be one of the first to test drive the new bike, unfortunately, the contest is only open to Europeans.
