Hi,
I'm selling my 1982 Honda CX500T. I've had the bike a few years and have rebuilt the front master cylinder, waste gate, and installed new tires (they now have a little under 1000 miles on them). The tires are Pirelli Sport Demons. The bike fires right up and runs and I've had it inspected and on the road this summer. It needs a little TLC as you can probably see from the photos, but has all the makings for a nice restoration. These bikes were only made for one year, so they're pretty rare, and getting harder to find all the time. They took the motorcycle world by storm in 1982 and as such, this bike is a bit of a historic time capsule. Feel free to contact me about any specific questions, and thanks for looking. |

Remember push starts?
Fri, 18 Nov 2011Alongside the most stunning collection of race and road bikes at their Motegi museum, next to some race bikes, Honda also has a step by step guide on most aspects of riding. I photographed the wonderful text on push starting but I also have lots of equally hilarious instructions on cornering braking and even what a riders goal should be. Thu, 11 Aug 2011If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.
