Honda Other description

1983 Honda CX650C custom #2,611 with 49,778 miles.

Originally prepared by San Diego restorer Greg Goss.

Completely serviced and ready to ride with owners manual & tool kit.

a show quality machine except for   the mileage, but don't let that put you off.  this engine has

even compression to spec. and runs smooth & strong.

The 674cc Honda V-twin has the torque & power to compete with any 750-800cc cruiser, but with better handling.

Properly serviced & regularly maintained, this machine easily has another 50k miles available.  Having restored

at least 150 of the Honda V-twin, I've seen these engines good for 120k miles.

Hard to find a  model in this condition.

Day 2 Dakar 2014: Sunderland Wins First Special Stage

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Honda won the second day of competition with Team HRC’s Sam Sunderland claiming victory in the first special stage of this year’s Dakar. Sunderland has had a frustrating time at previous Dakars, dropping out after three days of racing in 2012 and withdrawing a month before last year’s event due to fracturing both his wrists. Today, however, Sunderland made a grand entrance into the club of elite riders by brilliantly winning his first special stage of this year’s Dakar. Having started well behind his teammate, Joan Barreda, the 23-year old Brit superbly overtook Michael Metge and Juan Pedrero on the first part of the route.

Honda Announces 400cc Version of 500-Series Engine

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Honda has revealed a new, smaller-displacement variation of the 470cc parallel-twin engine introduced on its new CBR500, CB500F and CB500X models. The new engine has a bore of 67mm, just like Honda‘s 500-series engine, but a stroke of 56.6mm instead of the longer 66.8mm. The result is an engine displacement of 399cc, which makes the new engine a better fit for markets such as Japan license restrictions are much stricter for engines larger than 400cc.
