Honda Other tech info
Honda Other description
Here we have 1984 Honda XL200R in incredible condition for its age (only a few minor scratches and dings). This bike has been stored inside its entire life. I purchased it from the original owner, who was a Honda technician. He has had it in storage for the last seven years. When he put this bike to bed, he drained every ounce of fuel out of the tank and the carburetor (I attempted to take a photo of the inside of the fuel tank as it is absolutely spotless. It looks like it was just pulled off the showroom floor). The photos are exactly as how it appeared when pulled out of storage we have not touch the bike other than giving it fresh fuel, and a new spark plug. It fired up on the second kick & starts first or second kick every time, even when dead cold. The previous owner stripped this bike down for off-road/trail riding, but retained the original parts. It currently has a California off-road title, but since it was originally titled as a road bike, it can easily be retitled as such. Would make an excellent trail/pit bike, or could be easily return to its dual-purpose origins. A large number of original and some aftermarket parts are included (see photo). None of the wiring has been cut. The components were simply unplug & the wires tucked away. I cannot vouch for which parts are original and which parts are aftermarket, as they were all supplied by the previous/original owner. The tires are in excellent condition with very minimal wear. This great bike is located in Santa Barbara California. Anyone interested in looking in person is welcome to do so. The winning bidder is responsible for shipping/transport, however, I am happy to facilitate the pick up/loading on this end. |

The World Endurance Championship Starts This Weekend
Wed, 23 Apr 2014Endurance racing is perhaps the ultimate test of both man and machine. In the past, teams would pace themselves in order to rest both elements enough to make a final push at the end. These days, however, motorcycles are more reliable than ever, and riders train like triathletes.
2014 AMA Supercross – Phoenix Results
Mon, 13 Jan 2014Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto nabbed a hard-earned first victory of the 2014 AMA Supercross season, overcoming a poor start that saw him ninth after the first lap for the win. The three-time reigning champion found himself well back after the first corner as Yoshimura Suzuki‘s Jake Moss took the holeshot ahead of Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton and the KTM‘s Ryan Dungey. Brayton took over the lead by the second corner and would stay in front for the first 13 laps.
Casey Stoner To Be Named MotoGP Legend
Fri, 11 Oct 2013There’s no question Casey Stoner was (and still is) one of the best riders ever to throw a leg over a motorcycle. His accomplishments on two wheels, especially his championships on both Ducati and Honda machinery, are proof. Next week at the MotoGP round at Phillip Island in Australia, Stoner will join a distinct group of riders as he will be officially inducted into the MotoGP Hall of Fame.
