Honda Other description

NO RESERVE!! Highest bidder takes it home!! 1986 Honda  Z50RD. One of 3000 sold at chosen Honda Dealerships for Christmas. This is an ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE BIKE!!! Rather than type the word original 20 times I will use an “O” when describing the bike.

It was purchased at Bettencourts Honda in MA. I have the original paperwork. This is not a pristine show bike. Shows very minor rust and minor pitting on some of the components. I took about an hour and cleaned it. You can enjoy as is, give it a complete detailing, or restore to better than new condition. They are only original once and I would just invest in spending some time to detail.

The last time running was 1999. The bike was purchased for a Daughter who rode it a few times.  I pulled the carb and cleaned it. Changed the oil and cleaned the plug. It fired right up. I did not put fuel in the tank Just added some directly to the carb. The inside of the carb has some staining in the bottom of the bowl but is not an issue. The inside of the tank is like new. The previous owner drained it before letting it sit. The only other maintenance I did was clean and lube the chain and pull both axles and give them some grease.

The front tire is “O”. The front wheel shows some minor rust staining. The brake has plenty of life left. I noticed one of the forks had an oil stain under the boot, probably no issue .The fender shows some minor pitting. The front number plate is “O” as well as its holders. The handlebars  are straight and controls undamaged. The bike still has the “O” grips on the bars!! Tank is very good. It could use a little detailing to make it shine better. There is a 1 inch long ding on the top of the tank just to the right of the “SPECIAL” decal on top of the tank. The ding could be easily popped out by a Paintless Dent Repair shop.

The engine cases need some cleaning. I did not want to do anything with them. It’s up to the winning bidder to decide what to do with them. The exhaust is complete and looks Great. The footpegs are straight and tight. No adults were trying to beat Evil Kenievel’s jump record in their back yard on it

The “O” seat is in GREAT condition!! No tears or splits and the cover is nice and tight. The rear fender shows some minor pitting. The chain and sprockets are “O”. The  Rear tire is “O” as well.

This is a great opportunity to own an original 1986 Z50 Christmas Special!! Maybe Santa screwed you over and brought you a lame gift. Here is your opportunity to make that right.

Bidders with less than 5 feedback will have their bids rejected unless we discuss before bidding. International bidders are welcome. Follow the same payment schedule and you’re responsible for shipping.

I received 2 ?s and thought I would answer here as well. I do not have a buy it now price. It is a no reserve auction. the second ? was how it runs. The motor sounds FANTASTIC!! Extremely quiet and tight

A Dizzying Lap Of Imola + Video

Wed, 14 May 2014

Nilox, the action camera sponsor for World Superbike, makes it a point to film an on-board lap of each track on the calendar before each race weekend. A few weeks ago we brought you footage of Giuliano Rovelli lapping a Honda CBR1000RR SP around Assen. This week Rovelli is back, this time aboard a Kawasaki ZX-10R, giving us a rapid tour of Imola, the track made famous by the tragic passing of Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna 20 years ago, and also by the legendary battle between Troy Bayliss and Colin Edwards in 2002 which decided the championship.

Little brother: Honda introduced a "nano version" of the X-ADV scooter

Sun, 11 Aug 2019

The model is called ADV 150 and, despite its similarity with the X, it has nothing to do with it. The engine is a single-cylinder with a volume of 149.3 "cubes", developing 14.2 hp at 8500 rpm and 13.8 Nm at 6500 rpm. Suspension is a regular telescopic fork and two Showa rear shocks.

Hero Honda Rebranded as Hero MotoCorp

Tue, 09 Aug 2011

Honda’s former joint venture in India has officially rebranded itself as Hero MotoCorp, revealing the company’s new logo and signaling the beginning of a new era for India’s largest motorcycle manufacturer. Formerly known as Hero Honda, the joint venture claims a share of nearly half of India’s two-wheeled vehicle market. Honda decided in late 2010 to end its 27-year partnership with India’s Hero Motors, buying out its 26% share for $855 million, about half the market price at the time.
