Honda Other description

Here we have a well used example of the legendary RD04 Africa Twin, just freed from its shipping container. Aesthetically this bike is a bit rough, though the Honda colors show well. It's not a bad looking machine, it's just that you'll likely enjoy it more blasting down fire roads than looking at it amongst a motorcycle collection. Visually, there are plenty of things to nitpick. With that said, this bike runs very well, and I wouldn't hesitate to take it to Latin America if I needed to. I used it a great deal in the UK. There are still remnants of the Salisbury Plains surrounding Stonehenge in the tire grooves. I had thought about keeping it, but I have a couple in Europe already. I have the stock exhaust for it as well as a large GIVI topbox. This bike had a valid annual MOT inspection under its belt in the UK when it was shipped out (meaning it was road legal). It comes with the UK V5 document (their version of a title), copy of import paperwork, and a bill of sale. I offer competitively priced delivery in the lower 48 States with a right of refusal guarantee.  Upon delivery if you are unsatisfied with the motorcycle you will only be responsible for the delivery fee. If the motorcycle has already been paid for I will refund that amount. Thank you, and happy bidding.

And it's goodbye from him

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

THIS IS Valentino Rossi's farewell letter to his Fiat Yamaha team following the announcement the flambouyant Italian is to head to Ducati MotoGP in 2011.The hand-written letter, mistakes and all, is written in almost a 'my first romance' kinda way. It's touching, if a little bizarre. Some of the letter reads:“Unfortunately even the most beautiful love stories finish, but they leave a lot of wonderful memories, like when my M1 and I kissed for the first time on the grass at Welkom, when she looked straight in my eyes and told me ‘I love you!'"Somehow, we can't see Casey Stoner gushing quite as freely when he leaves Ducati for Repsol Honda.

Honda’s V-4 History

Tue, 06 Oct 2009

As Honda prepares its new VFR1200 for its official unveiling, the red-wing company has set up a website detailing its long involvement in V-4 engines. It began back in 1979 with the introduction of the NR500 grand prix racebike. Rather than fielding a 500cc two-stroke engine, Honda used a four-stroke oval-piston V-4 motor – essentially a V-8 with four cylinders that could be revved to 19,500 rpm!
