All new beartings, new forged wiseco pistons, the block was sent off to Millennium Tech and was replated to stock bore, the head was also freshened up. It has v stacks, k&n filter, Power Commander III, Dynojet quickshift module, Titanium header with a custom muffler that sounds great. Everything on the chassis was stripped down and powder coated black, it has 6in extensions on the swingarm, new chain and sprockets, has custom RC Components wheels, it has lowering links, SGT seats, VERTI handle bars that are fully adjustable, CRG roll a click levers, not Chinese junk. mirror block offs, CRG bar end mirrors, frame sliders, new pilot power tires. 2014 Honda CTX700 Recalled in Canada for ABS Issue
Thu, 11 Jul 2013Transport Canada announced a recall for the new Honda CTX700 because of a manufacturing error in its anti-lock braking system. The Canadian recall applies to both the CTX700N and the partially-faired CTX700T (known simply as the Honda CTX700 in the U.S. market and other markets.) According to the recall notice, the ABS modulator may have been manufactured incorrectly and could potentially fail, allowing the front and/or rear wheels to lock up under heavy braking, increasing the risk of a crash.
Hero MotoCorp Forms Joint Venture with Magneti Marelli
Wed, 04 Dec 2013Indian manufacturer Hero MotoCorp is teaming up with electronic fuel injection expert Magneti Marelli in a new joint venture. Hero will hold a 60% share in the company with Magenti Marelli controlling the other 40%. The two companies are initially investing a combined US$8.5 million into the joint venture, with a planned investment of US$27 million total over the next ten years.
Day 4 Dakar 2014: Juan Pedrero Wins Stage Aboard Sherco
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Stage 4 of the 2014 Dakar saw Juan Pedrero take his maiden victory aboard a Sherco SR 450 Rally. Although not in contention for the overall, Pedrero showed he has outgrown his previous role as Marc Coma’s lieutenant at KTM by bringing his Sherco across the finish line 3:10 faster than third place Coma and 29 seconds faster than second place finisher Francisco Lopez. Coma’s performance in today’s stage moved him to only 3:10 behind overall leader Joan Barreda.
