DO NOT EVEN BOTHER TO ASK. . ..Let me just start off by saying, My time is very valuable at the moment and I will not waste it by entertaining window shoppers. Serious Inquiries ONLY! Reason for selling is because I am in a super tight money bind and a certain expense needs immediate attention. I am also un able to travel so you have to come to me. . . I am sorry but I am in a tough situation. Looking to sell ASAP!Name: RichieLocation: Raleigh Area North CarolinaPrice $4500Contact: (Serious inquires only please do not bother me with trades or BS) If you'd like to mer and you have the cash great! But do NOT show up if you are not ready to buy. I have been in the game for a minute and this is NOT my 1st rodeo. With that being said, Up for your consideration is a super Clean Modified 2006 Honda Ruckus.Bike is put away as of last month with a fresh oil change and all maintenace requirements up to date. It was my daily driver for about 5 mnths "due to a faulty NC license issue" and I have enjoyed every moment on it. I would ride sometimes from Fuquay North Carolina to Raleigh North Carolina, varying up to three times a week with out a single hiccup! That is 40mis too and from. The bike runs flawlessly and has never given me any issues what so ever. I purchased the Ruckus about 5-6 mnths from a fellow active soldier off of base in Fayetteville NC. It was already put together just as pictured by the previous owner, and lets just say it was done right. When purchased, it was freshly assembled and all parts where only one month or less old. So as it sits now, the build and all upgraded parts are only 6 mnths in age. (Like NEW!)I have many individuals who can vouch for me owning, building, and maintaing very clean/quality vehicles as well as being a stand up guy. I am super meticulous when it comes to materialistic items, and because of this my collection shows it. I way around 170 pounds and the Bike will do, give or take 42-45mph flat ground and a little over 50mph downhill. . . Uphill isn't the greatest but you would expect that with a 49cc.The Good: Fresh Fluids, Runs Flawlessly, Turn key ready to go and requires no maintenence etc. FLORIDA TITLE CLEAR AND IN HAND! Which is semi rare and a BIG plus with these things and ups its value!!/ comes with original owners manual and purchase certificate from 2006! 100% street legal without having a drivers license in NC, around 75mis to the gallon of gas (Around 1.2 gallon tank) I am the 3rd owner, super clean and it is not yours yet!The Bad: Small oil leak behind stator. Maybe three little drips after sitting over night. I have had no time to fix it and the seal around $20. Has zero effect on performance and acts as your average minor oil leak. Very very few to little paint scuffs/chips on frame. Barely noticeable. About 5,500 mis on Motor And original ChassisI am most Likely Forgetting some part upgrades. . .Modifications and part upgrades are as followed with links. . .*iphone/GPS/Mobile Phone Holder!!!*DORF Seat Frame - ($245.00) http://www.ruckhouse.com/index.php/down-and-out-race-frame.html*Dorby Works Gas Tank Cover- ($50.00) http://dorbyworks.ecrater.com/p/17335017/honda-ruckus-white-gas-tank*Bar End Mirror- ($19.99) http://www.ruckhouse.com/index.php/homepage-products/honda-ruckus-bar-end-mirror-278.html*Adelin CNC Disc Brake Lever Set-($189.00) http://www.ruckhouse.com/index.php/homepage-products/cnc-controls-disc-drum-255.html*CNC Billet Handle Grips- ($15.99) http://www.ruckhouse.com/index.php/accessories/cnc-billet-handle-grips-black.html*RRGS Low Down Forks- ($185.00) http://dorbyworks.ecrater.com/p/16524063/rrgs-honda-ruckus-low-down*RRGS four Piston Caliper/Rotor Set- ($300) http://dorbyworks.ecrater.com/p/17243987/honda-ruckus-blue-rrgs-ph80NCY Titanium Front Axle Bolt/Nut ($33.00) http://www.ruckhouse.com/index.php/wheels-tires/titanium-front-axle-ncy.html*DorbyWorks Titanium Rotor Bolts- ($16.00) http://dorbyworks.ecrater.com/p/17320512/honda-ruckus-titanium-rotor-bolts*RuckHouse Custom Front Wheel Hub- ($129.00) http://www.ruckhouse.com/index.php/popular-products/division-front-wheel-hub.html*RuckHouse Extended Rear Brake Cable- ($25.00) http://www.ruckhouse.com/index.php/accessories/85-extended-brake-cable-277.html*Yoshimura Carbon GET Exhaust System- ($475) http://dorbyworks.ecrater.com/p/17682607/honda-ruckus-get-stock-motor*K&N Carb Breather- ($22.99) http://passwordjdm.com/KN-Carb-Breather-Filter-62-1320-P2313C410.aspx*RamAir Racing Foam Filter ($34.99) http://www.drowsports.com/ramair-racing-foam-air-filter-4020/*Older Model (Best with CNC 'MC' cutout) MOJO Fatty Motor Mount- ($325.00) http://www.ruckhouse.com/index.php/suspension-brakes/mojo-fatty-get-motor-mount.html*Older Model RuckHouse rPRO Drag Bars- ($295.00) http://www.ruckhouse.com/index.php/chassis/rpro-drag-bars-polished-315.html*PWJDM Axle Spool Kit- ($34.99) http://passwordjdm.com/PasswordJDM-Ruckus-Zoomer-Axle-Spool-Kit-P2888C480.aspx*Keihin Slow Jet Kit- ($17.99) http://www.drowsports.com/slow-jet-kit-honda-ruckus-stock-carburetor/*Keihin Main Jet Kit- ($30.90) http://www.drowsports.com/keihin-honda-ruckus-main-jets-6pc-1527/*JC Racing Lightened FlyWheel- ($140.00) http://www.jcracingonline.com/Lightened-Flywheel-Honda-Ruckus-Complete-w-Core-JCLFC.htm*Dr. Pulley ClutchKit- ($289.00) http://www.scooterdynasty.com/clutchandbellkitracingdrpulleyforhondascooters.aspx*NCY CDI Box- ($104.99) http://www.scooterworks.com/ncy-performance-cdi--unlimited---honda-ruckus-products-12351.php?page_id=143#.Up07tpFqn AY*NCY Battery ($60.00) COULDN'T FIND LINK*High Tension SparkPlug Wire. . ..*Poloni Variator- ($84.99) http://www.drowsports.com/polini-variator-speed-control-honda-ruckus-zoomer-50/*Polini Racing Kevlar Drive Belt- ($37.99) http://www.drowsports.com/polini-racing-variator-drive-belt-honda-ruckus-zoomer/*Dr. Pully Slider Rollers- ($21.99) http://www.drowsports.com/dr-pulley-sliders-roller-weights-16x13mm-5498/*Kymco Rear Hub- ($60.00) http://www.ruckhouse.com/index.php/wheels-tires/wheels/kymco-hub-honda-ruckus.html*UnKnown 12x8 polished Rear wheel "Maybe Douglous?" Day 3 Dakar 2014: Barreda Maintains Overall Lead, Despres Catches Up

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Today’s stage, part one of the first marathon stage with no team service, was characterized by the highest ever racing altitude in Dakar history. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.

Honda VFR1200F launch: Even the toilet has ABS

Tue, 20 Oct 2009

Just touched down in Tokyo after a twelve-hour flight from Heathrow and, as a total Japan virgin, I can tell you it’s all as weird as you’d probably imagine. Check out my hotel room’s toilet with inbuilt electronic arse power washing facility. Going to check that bad boy out as soon as I’ve filed this copy.

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
