The 16-valve 4 cyl CB1000R is a descendent of the 4 cyl CB750, introduced in 1969. It marks the replacement for the Honda 919. Honda gave the MSRP as being roughly $12,000. Acceleration comes from the smooth 998cc in line fourvproducing a compression ratio of 11.2:1. Two front dual 310mm discs bitten by radial-mounted Tokico four-piston calipers and a single 256mm disc rear deliver the breaking power. The motor is a modest 150cc with two camshafts, liquid cooling and a six-speed gearbox. The CB150R features an inverted fork, a front caliper radial mount brake system and optional ABS.
