Honda Rockford description
1970 Vintage Rockford Toro 60 Still in Factory Crate Barn Find Extremely Rare and Collectable Probably only one in the world that still exist in Crate Hi There, Your looking at (2) 1970 Vintage Rockford Toro 60's, one still in the original crate from the factory. The one in the crate I bought this bike from Buzz Walnecks about 20 years ago and been sitting in my garage ever since. The bike has a protective film sprayed on it from the factory. The paint seems to be flawless what I can see under the spray film, due to the age some of the chrome has developed some rust, some may come off and some parts need to be re chromed the Big Plus Bike has never been out of the crate with shipping labels still on the crate. The second Tora is a nice original bike as seen in the picture needs a few thing to get it running needs air cleaner assemble clutch lever holder maybe some other small stuff. Does appear it has a lot of use on it, tires seem to be original have about 90 percent life. Overall this Tora is a nice original bike. **You will be bidding on both bikes** Bike comes with a notarized bill of sale. The bike is located at my summer house in Anderson Sc. **Own a piece of Rockford History** If you have any questions or ant to make a offer please feel free to call me at 954 560 2466. |

Old boys up front and where are the new 600 Gixers?
Mon, 28 Feb 2011As I’ve been gagging for the new race season to kick off so it was almost a pleasure getting up at stupid 0 clock to watch the World Superbike Championship opener at Phillip Island last weekend. I have to say Messrs Burnicle and Whitham were on form although I was disappointed there were none of the usual verbal attacks on each other that always add to the entertainment. I’m sure they will put things right soon but the world superbike regulars must have been disheartened that Moto GP veterans nailed five of the six available rostrum slots.

They take an old Honda Rebel 250 and customize the frame to accommodate the electric motor and batteries, they claim the conversion should take about two to three days to complete, the batteries will take about 5-8 hours to charge and will give you a top speed of 45 mph. Here is a link to the step-by-step instructions, check out the video after the jump. The GomiCycle – An Electric Motorcycle Conversion from Media Sapien on Vimeo.
