Honda Sabre description

1985 V65 Honda Sabre in excellent condition with 26K miles. Clear title and garage kept it's entire life. This bike has always been professionally well maintained and is fully functional minus the battery. The engine is an 1100cc liquid cooled V4 coupled with a 6 speed transmission (w/over-drive) and shaft drive that pulls like a freight train (it's really powerful). It also starts effortlessly and doesn't leak anything. Excellent tires and rubber. The bike was covered when I had my first kid 7 years ago in perfect working order and ran like the day it was manufactured. I have recently washed it and got it running, but it has a hesitation in the acceleration now. I have posted a detailed video of it running here.

Everything functions down to the digital clock (shown in the video). I put a battery in it 3 years ago with the intention to sell and couldn't bring myself to do it, so it needs a battery again. The plastics are in good shape other than a chip in the tail piece. The gas tank is in excellent condition with only one slightly dented area out of sight against the steering neck. All pieces have the factory paint in good condition except the front fender which has a triangular piece of paint missing that did not adhere well to the plastic I suppose. It was there when I bought it. It also has a bit of spider cracking in the plastic gauge lens that is common among Honda's of this era. Just a cover so it can be very easily replaced. They sell them all day on Ebay. The glue let go of the mirror in the right side view mirror and it fell. Local glass shop quoted $20 to cut a new one. All issues and assets are clearly visible in the video. The bike also includes the original hand grips in perfect condition and a factory service manual in great condition. This bike should be trailered home until you have a safer place to ride it to smooth out the carbs and I'm retaining the license plate.

I love and adore this bike but I have small children now, so it's time for the motorcycle collection to go. I'm asking less than blue book because of the hesitation.
