American Honda Played A Big Role In Bringing Nicky Hayden Back To Team Red
Tue, 08 Apr 2014In late 2013, American Honda was presented with an opportunity to bring Nicky Hayden back to the Honda family, and renew the relationship that started in 1999 when Hayden was just 17. By retaining Hayden’s services to ride the Honda RCV1000R in the MotoGP World Championship series for the DRIVE M7 Aspar Team in the 2014 and 2015 seasons, American Honda is also now a proud sponsor of the DRIVE M7 Aspar Team. His first MotoGP season (2003) saw Hayden finish fifth in the championship on the Repsol Honda RC211V and win Rookie of the Year honors.

Tue, 25 Aug 2009Based on the concept model unveiled last October at Intermot 2008, the new motorcycle is expected to be a sport-tourer powered by a 1200cc V-4 engine with variable cylinder technology which can allow it to run on only two cylinders to conserve fuel. There are also rumors that the motorcycle will have a semi-auto gear box which will give the rider the option of going manual or automatic. Honda has a dedicated website for the V4 where you can enter for a chance to win a spot to be one of the first to test drive the new bike, unfortunately, the contest is only open to Europeans. Some may baulk at Honda’s description of the Fury as “radical.” Sure it’s not mind-blowing in the way a $60K custom can be, but it’s worth noting that not even Harley-Davidson has produced a bike with a rake angle so stretched or a wheelbase as long. So let’s admit that, for the normally staid Honda, the Fury is radical.
