Ex-racer Ben Bostrum might have stopped competing on motorcycles, but he hasn't given up his passion for two wheels. He's teamed up with motorsports promoter M1 to create Ben Bostrom Events, a company that plans to host world-class cycling and running races across the US. According to a press release, the high-intensity events will feature an 'entertainment-filled atmosphere', combining many of the familiar elements found at other MOB (mud, obstacles, beer) racing events.

After a successful 2013 campaign in the 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, where Honda’s own Jeff Tigert won the Pikes Peak 450 class and set a new record, Honda is stepping up its involvement for 2014, as both a sponsor and race participant, with plans to field products in seven distinct race classes. In addition, Honda will be working with the AMA and the Pikes Peak sanctioning body on improvements which will provide new levels of safety to the Motorcycle / ATV / UTV / Sidecar competitors. I'm happy to admit that I'm a little bit different; I believe that brown is an underused colour in motorcycling and we need to move on from custom café racers and introduce a dustbin fairing craze - you know I'm right. So, as Ben Cope - known around the Visordown office for being rather stubborn - and I were looking over various scooters on the 'net we uncovered the above machine, Honda's Big Ruckus 250. Instantly I thought that the Big Ruckus was absolutely cool, whereas Ben likened it to a 'mobility scooter'.
