The 2013 Red Bull Indianapolis GP arrives at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on August 16-18, and Honda is offering race fans a very special VIP package that will include some exceptional opportunities. Honda RCV1000R MotoGP Production Racer Revealed

Honda Racing Corporation officially introduced its new RCV1000R production racer which will be sold to racing teams hoping to compete in MotoGP‘s new “Open” prototype class. The RCV1000R is based on Honda’s RC213V factory prototype, with the same chassis and a similar 90° V-4 engine claiming more than 234 hp at 16000 rpm. The key difference is the engine uses traditional spring valves whereas the valves on the RC213V are activated pneumatically.

2013 European Junior Cup to Use All-New Honda Sportbike

Honda announced it is replacing KTM as the spec-bike supplier for the 2013 European Junior Cup. The youth racing series will use an all-new Honda sportbike to be revealed at the 2012 EICMA show in November, expected to be the CBR500 captured in spy photos. The European Junior Cup is for young racers ages 14-19 and runs at select rounds of the World Superbike Championship.
