Honda Shadow description

2013 Honda Shadow Phantom, 2013 Honda Shadow Phantom
You've never seen a Shadow like this
The first time you lay eyes on the Shadow Phantom, it s impossible to keep yourself from staring. Gawking, really. And wishing you had one in your garage. After all, this is the most unique Shadow we ve ever made, an utterly stunning head-turner with its blacked-out 745cc V-twin engine and black rims sporting matte silver highlights, bobbed fenders, spoke wheels, and beefy front forks. Then the exhaust note hits you, a deep, throaty pulse rumbling from dual exhausts. It s hard to resist, we know. And downright impossible once you ve seen its price tag.

Minimalist Art
The Shadow Phantom embodies the minimalist, stripped-down ideal of custom cruisers past, delivering a uniquely clean and uncluttered look accented with extensive use of blacked-out features the frame, engine, rims, and handlebars bringing motorcyclists back to what it means to be cool. With its torque-rich 745cc V-twin engine featuring the sophisticated ease of Programmed Fuel Injection and three-valve/dual-plug combustion chamber construction serving up heaps of low-, mid-, and top-end muscle, the very affordably priced Shadow Phantom puts the thrill of saddling up one of the wickedest customs on pavement within reach of just about every rider.

V-Twin Engine
Nothing pumps out the torque like a big V-Twin. The Phantom's power makes it perfect for both around-town cruising, commutes, and casual weekend-long rides.

Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI)
Forget about fiddling with a choke the Shadow's fuel injection system means no-hassle startups on cold mornings or at high altitudes, and optimal performance in any condition.

2-Into-2 Exhaust System
Sleek new pipes feature bullet-style mufflers for that classic cruiser style of yesteryear. Large-diameter head pipes and 2-into-2 system design combine to put out true, V-twin cruiser sound.

Five-Speed Transmission
Wide-ratio five-speed transmission lets you cruise the boulevard at a low, unhurried pace, yet lets you hop on the highway without revving the engine through the roof.

Front Disc Brake
If there's one place you DON'T want retro performance, it's when it comes to your brakes. That's why we gave the Shadow Phantom a 296mm front disc for distinctly modern stopping power.

Honda Returning to AMA Pro Racing with Team Hammer and Dane Westby

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

Days after the release of the reigning AMA Daytona Sportbike champion from his contract, the Geico Motorcycle race team announced it will field Dane Westby with the backing of Team Hammer on a Honda CBR600RR season. Westby rode last season for Team Hammer on the M4 Suzuki GSX-R600 to finish second overall behind fellow Team Hammer rider Martin Cardenas who raced on a Geico-sponsored Suzuki GSX-R600. Last week, Team Hammer released Cardenas from his contract option for the 2013 season so he could pursue opportunities in the Superbike class.

Honda And Repsol Celebrate 20 Years Together

Mon, 10 Feb 2014

If we were to play a game of word association, the mention of “Repsol” would automatically trigger “Honda” from the audience, or at least anyone who pays the slightest bit of attention to Grand Prix racing. That’s because the two companies have achieved much success in this, their 20th year as partners. The longest running partnership between sponsor and manufacturer in the history of the Motorcycle World Championship, Repsol Honda has won 10 World titles, 124 race wins and 338 podiums in 500cc and MotoGP.

Riding The Arctic Circle…On A Honda C90

Tue, 21 May 2013

Ed March isn’t your typical motorcyclist. He chose to take a motorcycle journey to the Arctic Circle in the dead of winter. While many people would consider this a crazy idea in itself, March’s choice of motorcycle — a Honda C90 — will probably shock many more.
