Honda Shadow description

You've never seen a Shadow like this. The first time you lay eyes on the Shadow Phantom, it s impossible to keep yourself from staring. Gawking, really. And wishing you had one in your garage. After all, this is the most unique Shadow we ve ever made, an utterly stunning head-turner with its blacked-out 745cc V-twin engine and black rims sporting matte silver highlights, bobbed fenders, spoke wheels, and beefy front forks. Then the exhaust note hits you, a deep, throaty pulse rumbling from dual exhausts. It s hard to resist, we know. And downright impossible once you've seen its price tag. Special Delivery. The Shadow Phantom 745cc V-twin engine features Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI), ensuring easy cold-weather starting and seamless, any-condition fuel delivery. Black to the Future. Black is the color of confident power, and the Shadow Phantom has plenty of that. All-black engine, frame, rims, and handlebar all ever so perfectly accented with matte silver highlights makes this a machine everyone is going to take seriously. Hassle-Free Flying. The Phantom s durable and virtually maintenance-free shaft final drive ensures smooth, dependable power delivery to the asphalt. No hassles, no grease flying everywhere. Just smooth, quiet power transfer.

Shawn Higbee Wins On The Brough Superior Taylor Made Racing Moto2

Thu, 01 May 2014

In only its second race appearance, the Brough Superior Taylor Made Racing Moto2 bike competed in the WERA F1 and B Superbike events on April 27th at the Autoclub Speedway in Fontana, California, run in conjunction with the first round of the GEICO Superbike Shootout, presented by Yamaha. During the F1 race, rider Shawn Higbee moved up to as high as 2nd place from a 5th row start on the Brough Superior TMRGP2 bike.  The TMRGP2′s lightweight all carbon fiber chassis and 600cc Honda powerplant demonstrated impressive cornering speed on the tight infield sections but could not match the top speed of the heavily modified 1000cc F1 bikes on the long straights. On the last lap Higbee was shuffled back to 4th place at the finish line.

Built For Speed Art Exhibit To Be Displayed At Sturgis Buffalo Chip

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track,  Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.
