Honda Valkyrie description

Those who know Valkyries will immediately realize that this one is a great opportunity for a lucky buyer. While a careful eye will spot some small nicks and scratches, the paint and chrome are otherwise in very good condition, as shown in the photos. Stock and unmolested, this motorcycle has been very well maintained and ridden responsibly. The carburetors are clean and synchronized. Oil and filter are fresh. Tires have excellent wear left. Brake pads are new. Ride it across the country and enjoy the outstanding wind protection, the power, the sound and the practicality offered by the hard bags. When parked you will have a hard time taking your eyes off it. The cream/burgundy combination is considered the most beautiful by many. Most Valkyries of the late 1990s have 40-80k miles on them. Yes, even an 80k mile Valkyrie can ride forever, but why not have another 70k miles of enjoyment? I hate to part with this bike but I need some cash for my business. My lack of liquidity is your gain. Good bidding.

The double victory brings Sykes to within 4 points of series leader Sylvain Guintoli who had a decent weekend himself with a pair of podium finishes.

New: Venhill 888 fast-action twistgrips

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

CONTROL specialist Venhill has launched its new 888 range of bike-specific fast action twistgrips.  Supplied complete with the company's top of the range Featherlight cables, the kits are designed for a straightforward replacement of the factory-fitted equipment.  Bike-specific kits are now available for the Honda CBR600F, Kawasaki ZX-6R/ZX-10R, Suzuki GSX-R600/750, Triumph 675 Daytona and Yamaha R1/R6, among others, with prices from £105. Here's Venhill's description of the new product: "Manufactured with a robust CNC machined alloy body, the 888 fast action twistgrip provides a choice of two settings and is supplied with two rotors so that riders can select the throttle action that best suits the riding conditions.  Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.
