Honda silverwing gl500 interstate description

Honda gl500i Interstate.

This bike is in good running order. 2015 maintenance included new front tire-coolant and final drive
fluids changed. Brake fluid purged. New agm battery this year.New replacement mirrors.

Bike starts runs and idles properly. Electrical system is all in working order. Lights, signals, horn etc..
Gauges also all work except the coolant gauge is intermittent. Although  it has worked fine this year. Bike runs at normal temp. Common problem with the gl500. The fix is a new 7 volt regulator. New regulator with come with bike. The kickstand is bent and can not be used. The center stand works fine. Worth mentioning,as it might be an issue for some, but it is quite easy to put on the stand.Has a working aftermarket voltmeter.

There are no leaks. The rear air ride also works-holds pressure. No dents in gas tank. All of the latches for the luggage work including lock cylinders.
There are misc scratches etc.. consistent with a bike of this age. Left side cover is a replacement.
Overall condition is good to very good.mufflers have no holes.
Wheels are in great condition. Nice honest bike.

Rare hard to find bike. Silverwings are quite unique and are known to run 75k or more With 23k this one has plenty of life left. Great for mid-range rural touring. That what I used it for. The storage really comes in handy. Very easy bike to ride.

Would you pay £115,000 for this?

Mon, 25 Oct 2010

A HONDA NR750 - one of the most hi-tech production motorcycles ever built - is up for grabs on eBay with an asking price of £115,000.The bike was produced in the early 1990s by Honda to showcase the company's engineering skills; a 32-valve, oval piston V4 engine, Carbon Fibre Composite bodywork and titanium-tinted screen are just some of the revolutionary features that warranted the bike's £37,000 original price tag. This particular 1993 model has covered 5000 miles from new - quite a few for a bike with such a heady price tag. We'd have expected it to come with delivery mileage only. It's being sold by an Essex-based dealer who describes the bike as 'IMMACULATE'.
