How do I take care of my chain?

We sell both sealed and non sealed motorbike chains. While our premium drive chains come factory lubricated and sealed it is still best practice to maintain the chain by properly lubricating it on a regular basis. Chain lube can also be purchased from our eBay store. Without proper care and maintenance, your drive chain will elongate and wear more rapidly than is expected. This is specially true of non-sealed non o ring chains. Maintenance is essential.

Is my chain fitted properly?

To check if your chain has been fitted properly please measure the chain tension as stated by your manufacturer. To check chain tension the measuring point must be half way between the rear sprocket and the front sprocket. Always make sure to adjust your motorcycle chain accordingly.

Please note* Changing both sprockets and the drive chain will ensure even wear and tear on all three, saving premature wear on individually replaced items.

Reunited: Husqvarna and Husaberg Merge

When Pierer Industrie AG purchased Husqvarna from BMW in January, it was obvious some major changes were on their way. Pierer Industries AG is owned by Stefan Pierer, who happens to be chief executive officer of KTM, which also happens to be the parent company of Husaberg. That’s three European motorcycle manufacturers with strong off-road lineages in the same family.

2014 Husaberg Lineup Announced – Final Edition Before Husqvarna Merger

Husaberg may soon be no more, but that hasn’t stopped the Austria-based Swedish brand from unveiling its 2014 lineup of seven models. News broke last week of plans to reunite Husaberg with Husqvarna, to be known as Husqvarna Sportmotorcycle GmbH as of October 2013, making lineup of of seven off-road bikes including both two- and four-stroke models the final traces of the Husaberg as an independent brand. These 2014 models will also give us some indication of what to expect from the new Husqvarna models.

1,228 KTM and Husaberg Motorcycles Recalled

KTM and subsidiary Husaberg have initiated a recall campaign for certain 2010 and 2011 models due to a problem with their handlebar clamps. The recall campaign includes the 2011 KTM 450 EXC, KTM 530 EXC, Husaberg FE 570S, Husaberg FS 570 and the 2010-2011 KTM 690 Enduro R. The recall affects 1,228 units.
