Terra Motors Kiwami Electric Sportbike Claims Literbike Performance

Japanese electric vehicle maker Terra Motors revealed a new sportbike called the Kiwami. Japanese for “extreme”, or “ultimate”, the Kiwami was revealed in India, ahead of the 2014in New Delhi in early February, making it the first electric superbike in the country. According to Terra Motors, the Kiwami offers acceleration performance equivalent to a 1000cc gasoline-powerd sportsbike.

Piaggio Slashes Vespa LX125 Prices in India to Bolster Slow Sales

Piaggio launched its Vespa scooter brand at last January’s Indian Auto Expo to much fanfare but sales have fallen short of expectations. The Vespa LX125 launched in Indian showrooms in April as the first new Vespa scooter offered in the country in 13 years, but Piaggio has only sold about 25,000 units. To celebrate, Polaris Industries, owner of the Indian brand since April of this year, is celebrating the occasion with special badging on all 2012 models.
