Indian All description
Vertical twin. First year. 440cc. Only year for this size. This and the 220cc version were to be joined in the modular family by an inline four but it never happened. This is American made, not an Enfield. Stored inside for many years. I just have too many projects; time to downsize. The bottom end is in good shape and moves freely, the top end is stuck. Among the extra parts you will find the carb, generator, oil lines and fasteners for the engine covers. I also have manuals and advertisements. I need to look for these and will include in the sale. Parts to finish the bike are available on ebay and through other sources (ask me). Paint appears to be original as are the included parts. I saw a bike like this in similar condition go for about $2900 on ebay a couple years ago. My reserve is much less (don't ask). I will assist with shipping but the arrangements are up to you. I have sold several bikes on ebay and will try to answer any questions. Check my 100% feed back since 2000 and bid with confidence. No title. |

Indian has registered a new name
Mon, 22 Apr 2019What lies behind the promising Challenger name? The Challenger evokes strong associations with the Dodge muscle car but obviously the world will have to expand its consciousness for the foreseeable future - apparently, Indian is preparing a motorcycle of the same name. This is indicated by a patent dated March 27.

Check out Indian motorcycle journo Aneesh Shivanekar's average morning, filmed as he rode his KTM Duke 200 between the Mumbai suburbs of Andheri and Bandra (a distance of about 7 miles, or half his one-way journey). And no, he's not Jesse Mach; this GoPro footage is sped up 8x.
