This bike is 99% original. I am the 3rd owner. Purchased in 1982. Clear title, no inspection needed. Runs well, driven occasionally every summer for the last 34 years. This bike is not a bunch of parts put together. This is an original, matching numbers motorcycle. No reproduction parts. 99% original, only the following parts are not original: air filter cover, tires, kick pedal and muffler. The rest is all original ... original working speedometer, original seat with rare side protector, original front and rear lamp, original handlebar controls and grips - just to name a few. Older restoration paint with minor issues - chips, small scratches and some bubbling on the left side of the tank. Magneto will need condenser and other repair. I will provide all the extra magneto parts to restore it. Local pick up preferred or you arrange your own shipping. A non refundable $500 deposit on Paypal will be required within 48 hours of the auction ending. This is an expensive and highly collectible bike. Indian Motorcycle to Reveal 2015 Lineup at Sturgis
Wed, 25 Jun 2014Indian Motorcycle made a splash at last year’s Sturgis Rally, making its rebirth under Polaris Industries and revealing its Thunderstroke 111 V-Twin powered 2014 lineup. It should come as no surprise then that Indian announced it will reveal its all-new 2015 model lineup at this year’s Sturgis Rally. Although Indian makes the “all-new” claim, we expect a similar lineup to what’s currently available (Chief, Chief Vintage and Chieftain), perhaps with a revision or a new spin on an existing model.
Bonhams To Sell Garelli Grand Prix Collection At No Reserve
Wed, 28 Nov 2012Mark your calendars for February 5 and 6, 2013, as those are the dates when Bonhams — one of the world’s largest auctioneers of fine arts and antiques — will put for sale two motorcycle collections which include some incredibly rare and historic machines. The Grand Palais in Paris, France will play host to the auction, which includes the entire Garelli Grand Prix collection as its headliner. Founded in 1919, many famous Italian racers got their starts on Garelli motorcycles.
Polaris Acquires French Quadricycle-maker Aixam Mega
Thu, 11 Apr 2013Polaris has added another brand to its growing list of acquisitions, buying out Aixam Mega S.A.S., a French manufacturer of light-duty commercial vehicles and quadricycles – small four-wheeled enclosed vehicles that can be driven, in some markets, without an automobile driver’s license. Aixam Mega joins Polaris’ portfolio which already includes Victory Motorcycles, Indian Motorcycles, electric vehicle makers Global Electric Motorcars and Groupil. Like GEM and Groupil, Axiam Mega produces small vehicles, though its products include both electric and diesel-powered vehicles.
