Indian Chief description

2009 Indian Chief-Vintage factory built in Kings Mountain N.C. facility. This bike is in flawless condition and is a low mile example with only 2800 documented miles. It has a low production number plate of #124 affixed. These torque monsters had a three year run with under 1000 units total, not to be confused with the Gilroy, CA models or current mass produced Polaris backed editions. It is equipped with a factory built 105 cu.in. Power-Plus fuel injected engine , not an S&S motor like in the earlier 2000 models. The Chief Vintage is equipped with a rock solid six speed transmission and stopping power is provided by beautiful looking four piston Brembo brakes. The Indian has two into one stainless steel exhaust along with a metal scripted logo on a 5.5 gallon gas tank. It weighs in at 753 pounds is slung low and balanced perfectly fitting riders of all shapes and sizes. It has run flawlessly throughout ownership with more frequent seasonal oil changes than mileage required. Thunder black paint work shines like a mirror as does the chrome trim. Factory billet wheels were added at a cost of $1000 and were a great looking add on replacing the standard laced wheels. The new list price on Chief-Vintage models was $35,499 in 2009 without below listed add ons.Below is a list of extras which only add to value and exclusivity:

Actual Motorcycle or My Little Pony Character?

Thu, 29 Nov 2012

1 of 6Next Last A little while ago, we published a review of a motorcycle Honda produces for the Indian market called the Unicorn Dazzler. Yes, that’s the actual name of a production motorcycle designed by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, a Honda subsidiary. In his review of the 150cc motorcycle, Rajeev Gaikwad said the Honda Unicorn Dazzler was “a handsome commuter with an enthusiastic and proven engine” though it was underwhelming in terms of performance and handling as the higher-priced successor to the regular Honda Unicorn also sold in India.

Polaris Reports Q1 2014 Sales Results

Wed, 23 Apr 2014

Polaris Industries reported a 52% increase in motorcycle revenues over the first quarter of 2014, thanks in large part to the addition of Indian Motorcycles. Motorcycle sales generated $78.9 million in sales revenue for Polaris, compared to $51.8 million in the same quarter last year. The key thing to remember however, is Indian Motorcycles wasn’t relaunched until late summer, so last year’s first quarter sales were made up almost entirely of Victory Motorcycles.
