HERE'S YOUR CHANCE! My highly accessorized 2008 KTM 690
Enduro is for sale! Includes ALL the parts and pieces and custom fab work done
to create this rally style workhorse, PLUS all the stock “take-off” parts. I
built this bike to do the TransAmerica Trail earlier this year. No expense was spared to build this project and I have nearly $10k in it!! It currently has
17,000 miles and was just serviced by local KTM. The under-seat Rade Garage
auxiliary fuel tank allows you to carry nearly 5 US gals WITHOUT sacrificing
the width of the bike. Stock side panels used with rally fairing, so knee room
while standing is great! Simply add a Rotopax on the rack and you've got 6
gallons of fuel capacity. I used this set up to do the TransAmerica Trail this
year and didn't EVER need to worry about fuel. The Rade Garage rally kit is
really slick. Matter of fact, the guy did a revision on the navigation tower
mounting system and sent me the new kit, which is now installed on the bike. Bike also includes the Perun Moto
billet rear rack and TourTech pannier racks and front engine case guards.
Together these create an awesome protection package for the bike. I used the
Mosko Moto Backcountry panniers and top case and it worked perfectly. You can
also run hard cases on these racks too. ·

2013 AMA Supercross Daytona Race Report
Mon, 11 Mar 2013Ryan Villopoto won his fifth main event race of the year at Daytona to take over the lead in the 2013 AMA Supercross championship standings. The win is the third at Daytona in the Monster Energy Kawasaki racer’s career, matching the totals set by Bob Hannah, Mike Kiedrowski, Jeremy McGrath and Chad Reed. Only Ricky Carmichael, who designed the sand-based Daytona track, holds more Supercross wins at Daytona with five victories.
KTM Announces 2014 AMA Supercross
Tue, 03 Dec 2013KTM announced its 2014 AMA Supercross team, with reigning 250SX West Champion Ken Roczen joining Ryan Dungey on the 450 class team. The two will form a formidable one-two punch for the Red Bull KTM factory team as it hopes to unseat three-time champion Ryan Villopoto of Kawasaki. “Next year’s competition is going to be tough with several young, fast and talented riders entering the 450 class,” says Dungey who has finished third for three straight seasons after winning the title in 2010.
Bodachs on bikes
Wed, 21 Aug 2013With the Gaelic for ‘old man’ being Bodach it was only right we call our annual has been Scottish Racers run out 'Bodachs on Bikes'. The gang now includes names from the past like Morrison, MacPherson, Simpson and Duffus with a Robert Burns and Big Gordo thrown in for good measure. Island hopping was on the agenda this time round, so for £60 we acquired a Caledonian Macbrayne Hopscotch ticket allowing us three ferry crossings between the mainland, Skye and Lewis. Having heard lots of good stuff about the new KTM 1190 Adventure I thought this could be the perfect bike for the journey so managed to book Loughborough’s Redline KTM’s demo out for a week. My first stint was an uneventful 400 miles north but with an average of 250 miles range per tank and 80s club classics on the i pod it felt like I was there in no time. I also kept myself amused scrolling through the easy to navigate countless combinations of engine performance, traction/anti wheelie and suspension settings clearly displayed on the dash. There seems to be a setting for everyone; luggage or no luggage, big guy or small guy, brave or scared ( no rider aids or full rider aids). After assembling in the holiday town of Helensburgh on day two, we rode up around the coast on the A82, A85 and A828 to Ballachulish. A quick puddle jump across Loch Linnhe then saw us heading round the A861 to Strontian before going north to Mallaig.
