2014 MotoGP Qatar in Pictures

The opening round of the 2014 MotoGP season is complete, and if the Grand Prix of Qatar is any indication, it looks like it’ll be an interesting season. If you haven’t yet, read up on the recap for the Qatar MotoGP race for the details on what transpired at Losail International Circuit in Doha. 2014 KTM 450 Rally Replica Announced

KTM announced it will offer an official replica production version of its Dakar-winning 450 Rally bike. Marc Coma rode the 450 Rally for his fourth Dakar victory and 13th in a row for KTM in January, finishing nearly two hours faster than any other motorcycle entrant. The 2014 KTM 450 Rally Replica will be available for purchase later this year for €24,000 (US$32,881) for privateer racers or anyone else who wants to own their own rally bike.

Carbon Fibre race bikes, and a KTM makes it debut on the BSB Motostar rostrum

Many think Carbon Fibre chassis are relatively new to motorcycle racing but I can lay claim to having been there and done that almost thirty years ago. I first rode a Carbon/Kevlar 250cc Armstrong in 1983 before going on to grab four British titles and pretty much every national lap record over the next three years. I also had some top ten 250cc Grand Prix finishes although I was totally gutted when my team mate Donnie McLeod topped me by finishing 2nd in the Belgian GP at Spa.
