Our lady of blessed acceleration never failed me on my SuperDuke. Quite the opposite! After refusing an offer for a free overnight stay in Tennessee’s finest, highly secured bed breakfast facilities run by local authorities and paid by the taxpayer, I decided to change myself into a better person and started using the bus ;-) If you believe you are bad boy/girl and insist to truly live that paradigm – this is the right toy for you. The 990 SD is a very unique full "Orange-Orange" Super Duke. I am the original owner. Features and upgrades include engine frame- and fork- sliders, Spiegler steering damper, 12v power socket, handle bar risers and second seat (gel seat), ZIPTY Racing chain adjuster blocks and axle and high performance magnet oil drain plugs. Immaculate condition, never crashed. Regular serviced with latest service done @ 9000 miles. Only 10850 miles total and 900 miles on the new tires (Michelin Pilot Power 2CT). Total mileage could slightly change until auction ends.

Movie: The John Penton Story

Wed, 06 Mar 2013

John Penton was one of the most influential figures in the development of off-road motorcycle racing in America during the 1960s and ’70s. His life’s story is triumphant and tragic. When his attempts to convince Husqvarna to produce a smaller, lighter motorcycle fell on deaf ears, Penton created his own design and commissioned KTM, a small moped and bicycle maker in Austria, to build it. The motorcycle was an instant success in off-road competition and led KTM to expand its efforts in the motorcycle realm, initially in conjunction with Penton and ultimately on its own.

India Raises Import Duty on Motorcycles to 75%

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

The government of India has laid out its budget for 2013-2014, increasing the import duty for large motorcycles. The news will impact several major manufacturers hoping to gain a stake in the world’s second largest motorcycle market. India has become the hotspot for manufacturers but one of the biggest obstacles they face is the duty India levies on luxury goods.

AMA Superbike: 2012 Daytona Results

Tue, 20 Mar 2012

Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.
