Kawasaki Concours™ description

1997 Kawasaki Concours with low miles (for this bike it sure is!  Plenty of C10's going well over 100,000 miles and more!) and ready to go for long journeys! She's not a show bike and has some scratches on paints, etc. But she is one good riding bike. Mechanically in perfect shape! NO EXCUSES and NO DISAPPOINTMENTS!

At this price, SOMEONE is going to get ONE heck of a GOOD DEAL!!

MORE PICTURES,  IF YOU WOULD LIKE - JUST let me know what ELSE you would like to see on the bike!

If you are looking for C10 Connie, you already know what this bike was designed for. Having the loyal following of the C.O.G. (Concours Owners Group) for many decades, the bike has proven beyond any reproach what she is capable of doing and mine isn't any exception.

I'm the 3rd owner of the bike and she's been serving me faithfully as my 2nd bike for almost 6 years and it's with sad feeling that I'm deciding to let her go. I simply don't put enough miles on her like she was DESIGNED to be ridden!

Connie is an excellent bike to chew up mile after mile of long distance touring (she has 7 gallon tank that will put strain on ANYONE's pit stop schedule!) but she is not so good at short hops in city and local traffics (at least not for me!) To me, she's just too big and too heavy for short hops – I have another a bit lighter bike to do that. Although having those trunks are sure handy when you stop by stores unplanned!

The bike was already in good riding condition when I got her in 2010 so not much work was needed on my part for last 6 years. However, I did a couple of what I consider to be very important improvements over the original bike in addition to regular scheduled maintenance.

1.  I have gone through the Junction Box rebuild process. Again, if you are looking for C10, you should know about this “electric gremlin” issue that is also common to many Kawasaki bikes. So I took care of the root cause by rebuilding the J-Box altogether. You shouldn't need to worry about electrical problem acting up!

2.  I have installed a pair of Traction Control Braking (TCB) system on both the front and rear brakes. Again, do your own due diligence to find out what this system does. I believe it's worth the extra cost for older bikes with no electronic ABS/TCS system

In addition to these, I have JUST installed a brand new battery so you won't have to worry about it for many years to come. The air filter is K&N so you don't need to ever buy another air filter (as long as you clean them regularly).

The rear tire is practically brand new (see picture) but the front tire should be replaced in a couple thousand miles or so (it still passed PA. State inspection with no problem).

Comes with GIVI top trunk as well as Kawasaki side cases. And if you pay my full asking price, I will add an additional rear shock with linkage at no extra charge (a $120 value!). The current shock is still in good shape but if you want, you can have another one in good shape for future need. I will also throw in a couple of engine oil filters, bike cover (although I always kept mine inside my shed), repair manuals, etc.

Buyer MUST arrange the transportation – easy enough to fly in and ride out, I think. I can help you arrange hotel etc. if you need. But Johnstown, PA. is pretty close to entire Mid Atlantic region as far as Chicago, IL, etc. And thus you shouldn't have any problem riding the bike home! Again, that is what this bike was meant to be doing - gobbling up hundreds of miles each day!

No warranty is implied nor expressed. All sale is for final. No refund or return of any kind.

PLEASE do your due diligence! Buyer inspection is welcomed and encouraged! Just let me know!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you and happy bidding!

OK. Time for the “fine prints”. I do my utmost to make it simple as possible. So, PLEASE read the following. It won't take that long, I promise!

A Word about Pricing and Service

Your Satisfaction Is VERY Important To Me because it is my best intention to provide excellent VALUE to all my customers, both in the product pricing and the shipping/customer service. I strive for this goal by treating YOU the way I would treat MYSELF – in fairness with integrity. HOWEVER. . .

EVERY ONE of my LISTINGS could have a WRONG price!!

So, if you think my price is ridiculously LOW, click that “Buy Now” button before I catch my mistake! Believe you me, once I catch my mistake, I will raise my asking price! On the other hand, if you think my price is ridiculously HIGH, click that “Make Offer” button and let me know what YOU think is the FAIR price. I'm sure I will be able to work something out with you.

Please REMEMBER that my prices are for that offer ONLY. It can (and WILL) change according to what the market dictates. Also, my supplies are EXTREMELY limited, so once the deal is gone, it's GONE!

I don't sell cheap/damaged/irregular/defective products. All my listings are GENUINE articles, both NEW and USED. So I price my listings very competitively. I will not be the cheapest guy on the Internet. Because, usually YOU get what you PAY for! Instead, I strive to be the BEST value for your time and money.

For whatever reason if you still think my price AND service is not excellent VALUE, please let me know. I will make the change to the best of my ability and the situation's allowance. I work HARD to earn your 5 Star Rating on every transaction I carry out!

Returns

Returns are cheerfully accepted (unless otherwise clearly STATED on the sales condition, so please refer to that FIRST! In case there's a discrepancy, the LISTING condition near the shipping description takes the precedent!) as long as the merchandise is in the same EXACT condition with the tags, labels, etc (if applicable). To expedite the return, please contact me BEFORE you ship the product back. I respond to all inquiries within 24 hour period to resolve issues quickly.

Shipping Charge and Cost (This is IMPORTANT!!)

If your purchase was eligible for free shipping, the original shipping cost to you from me will be deducted from your refund. You also have to pay for the return shipping cost and make sure that the product is insured for damage and/or loss.

Condition of Product

All my items are from smoke-less and pet-free home.

Quick Turnaround

I also try my best to ship the product out on the same day the sale is finalized (and the payment is completed before 3 P.M. EST on regular business days – weekend orders will be shipped on the coming regular business day) so you can receive your order quickly! IF there's any reason on my part that I can't ship the product on the SAME day that the payment is received, I will be sure to e-mail you to let you know WHY the delay is going to take place. Also over the weekends and the holidays, there will be corresponding delay of the shipment until the subsequent regular business day.

Tracking and Signature Confirmation

All my domestic shipment comes with tracking service and if you want you can pay for the signature confirmation to make sure the order gets to your hand safely. Just let me know.

International Shipment

I provide international shipment and the actual shipping cost varies from country to country (unless otherwise noted on the shipping detail section!). Please contact me to verify the actual shipping cost to your country.

Continued Improvement on My Listing

I reserve the right to continue to improve my service and/or change the listing terms from time to time without any prior notice. So please read the description and terms carefully. If you have any questions/comments about ANYTHING, feel free to drop me a line any time! Thank you and God bless!

You see, that didn't take that long. Did it? :)

Ryan Dungey scored his fourth win of the season but it was not enough to take second place in the points race behind champion Ryan Villopoto. That honor went to JGRMX Yamaha‘s Davi Millsaps who placed second to Dungey in the season-ending race at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. Dungey took the holeshot and led every lap to take the win for Red Bull KTM.

WSBK 2013: Laguna Seca Race Report

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

Tom Sykes and Eugene Laverty each came away with a victory as the World Superbike Championship made its return to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The first race featured two red flags, ironically caused by AMA Superbike regulars Danny Eslick and Roger Hayden, the two men with the most recent experience at the famed track. The second race was a much cleaner affair, with a dramatic finish, setting up the final two rounds of the championship.

Kawasaki KLR650 Returning For 2015

Tue, 09 Sep 2014

One of Kawasaki’s most popular sellers, the go-anywhere, do-anything KLR650 will once again be a staple of Kawasaki’s 2015 lineup. Preferring to run on either dirt or asphalt, the dual-purpose bike is very versatile, able to take riders almost anywhere they wish to go on- and off-road. The 651cc Single may not be the most inspiring engine in the world, but it gets the job done.
