Kawasaki ER-6N description

2009 Kawasaki ER-6N with 1884 miles for sale.  This standard bike has been garaged in the winter and taken very good care of. Battery is two years old and has been kept on a battery tender in the winter.  Clean title and receipts of shop maintenance included.  Single owner bike - purchased new in 2009.

Fantastic first bike with tried and true Kawasaki 650 cc parallel twin engine, same as the ninja 650 but with an upright riding position.

Starts and runs beautifully.  Overall body work is pristine except for right side turn signal fairing.  Bike was parked outside on a very windy day and was blown over into grass.  No damage to any metal parts but fairing has a small crack and a couple small scratches.  Scratches can probably be buffed out - new fairing is ~$200 to replace if you choose.  See last picture - Looks worse in the picture than it does when you are in front of it.  I was actually thinking of removing the fairings and going with aftermarket turn signals but never got around to it.

Otherwise in perfect shape. Only lightly ridden in the summer and oil was changed every year.  Valid inspection and once over completed by bike shop at the end of last year - everything in fantastic riding shape - will not need any maintenance completed after pickup.

Comes with some upgrades:

Garmin Nuvi 550 GPS with DC adapter wired to  bike battery and ER-6N mount.  One of the best upgrades in my opinion.  Just drive aimlessly until you want to go home and press one button to get back there! GPS is designed for motorcycle applications and is waterproof and has a touch screen that works with gloves.

Aftermarket aluminum bars for more upright grip.  Very comfortable riding position and adds some nice color to the bike.

Bar end mirrors for a more street fighter look.

Lowered 1" at the rear with a lowering bracket attached to the rear suspension.

Tail tidy to bring up license plate closer to fender for a cleaner look.

Sale comes with all original parts to bring back to OEM should you choose to do so.

Deposit required within 48 hours of auction close.  I will accept a certified cashiers check or cash at time of pickup. Paypal for full amount available as well if you choose to do so.  I would be willing to work with a local shipper with the expectation that they will pickup bike at my residence in North Tonawanda, NY.  Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and insurance to transport.  Shipping available to US lower 48 and Canada only please.

Sale is final once payment is received and Title is signed over to buyer. There are no warranties included with the bike in any form.

Please send me any questions. Happy to take more pictures if you're looking for something more.

Thank you and happy bidding!

Kawasaki World Debut At AIMExpo

Mon, 11 Aug 2014

Kawasaki has chosen the 2014 American International Motorcycle Expo as the venue to make the world debut of a yet unannounced motorcycle model. The model launch will take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, this October 16-19.  “AIMExpo demonstrated last year that it can serve as the ideal platform for media and brand activities and Kawasaki will leverage this grand stage to reveal new products, as well as interact closely with dealers and consumers,” explains Kevin Allen, Kawasaki Manager, PR + Brand Experience. “We have some very exciting new product to share and AIMExpo is the perfect place to make these announcements.” Attendees will also witness the North American introduction of all-new vehicles in several categories from Kawasaki. Following the unveilings, all products will then be on full display for all to see inside Kawasaki’s booth (#2165) out on the AIMExpo show floor.  “Kawasaki joins an expanding list of key companies that sees AIMExpo as the perfect means to infuse energy into the powersports business in North America,” says Larry Little, Vice President and General Manager, Marketplace Events Motorcycle Group.

WSBK 2013: Jerez Race Report

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

Eugene Laverty did everything he could, scoring a pair of race wins but it was not enough as Tom Sykes rode smartly and conservatively at the season finale in Spain, securing his first ever World Superbike Championship. Sykes landed in Jerez with a 37-point lead over Laverty and a 38-point lead over Sylvain Guintoli. While Laverty battled Marco Melandri to win Race One, Sykes coasted comfortably in third for most of the race to score 16 points, enough to clinch the title.
