Up for sale is my 1983 Kawasaki KZ 550 shaft LTD. 550cc 6 speed transmission, shaft drive. Bike runs great and has a lot of new parts. Carbs have been completely rebuilt and tuned. New plugs, wires, digital ignition with high output coils. Back tire is also brand new. Bike has just under 13k miles. I have 2 service manuals that go with it as well. Clear title in hand. Does not leak oil or anything else.

Tue, 20 Mar 2012The 2012 Daytona 200 delivered another fairy-tale finish with underdog privateer Joey Pascarella and the Project 1 Atlanta team fending off a pack of three other racers to win by a slim 0.048 second margin. Competing in just his first Daytona 200, 19-year-old Pascarella from Victorville, Calif., held the lead for 41 out of 57 laps to finish first ahead of a last year’s winner Jason DiSalvo while Cameron Beaubier squeezed by 2010 Daytona Sportbike Champion Martin Cardenas in a photo-finish to take third. For the Project 1 Atlanta team, the win marked a dramatic turnaround from a let down in 2011.

2014 Kawasaki KLR650 New Edition Revealed
Fri, 13 Dec 2013Kawasaki revealed an updated version of its popular KLR650 dual-sport at the New York International Motorcycle Show. The new KLR650 isn’t exactly a full model-year replacement as Kawasaki had already announced the 2014 model; instead Kawasaki is calling it the KLR650 New Edition, offering it for a retail price of $6,599, a $100 premium over the “old edition” KLR650. The extra Benjamin Franklin gets you new springs for both front and rear suspension, multi-contour dimpled seat and revised graphics.
