Kawasaki KZ650 description
PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING. Up for bid is a pretty nice 1979 Kawasaki KZ650. I believe it is a "C" model (Title says KZ650C). It has been sitting for 2 years and currently does not run from sitting. It kicks over and the engine has good compression. I imagine that a good tune up, fresh gas and a battery and it will fire up. Like I said, been sitting for a couple years without being started so you may have to tinker a bit. Motors on these are pretty bullet proof and easy to work on. The bike is in pretty good condition but does have a few bumps and bruises as you might imagine. The tank is pretty clean inside but does have a small dent in the side. The chrome is pretty good with minor blemishes and a little rust in the corners which will probably come right off with a little polishing. The front tire looks pretty good but the rear will need replaced in the near future. The seat has a tear in the side but I have a brand new seat cover for it that I never put on. I will throw that in with the deal. When last running the lights and turn signals all worked with no problems. Chrome on the fenders looks good with a bright shine. Grips are worn on the ends but function properly. All the rubber on the pegs and levers are nice yet. I have one original key and a clear Ohio title. I will not ship the bike but if the new owner would like to have it shipped it will be handled completely by you. I will agree to open the door for a shipper if that is what you choose. A $250 dollar NON-REFUNDABLE Paypal deposit will be required within 24 hours of the auction end. The remainder will be due in cash at the time of pick-up. I will not release the bike unless fully paid for. THE BIKE WILL NEED TO BE PICKED UP BY SEPTEMBER 1, 2016 OR IT WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL I AM AVAILABLE AFTER SEPTEMBER 8th. There is no warranty or guarantee on the bike as you might imagine considering the age. These vintage Kawasaki bikes seem to be climbing in value every day! Here's your chance to get one!!!! |

Anthony West Can’t Afford to Pay to Race MotoGP, Mulls Retirement
Fri, 27 Jan 2012The 2012 MotoGP season is still months away and the world championship has already lost an entry, as veteran Anthony West announced his withdrawal from the series because he cannot afford to compete. The 30-year-old Australian racer was included on the provisional 2012 MotoGP entry list to compete for the Speed Master team on an Aprilia CRT machine. But with the official pre-season test at Sepang, Malaysia, coming up next week, West says he will not race because teams are asking riders to pay too much to race for them.
2014 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 Spied in Norway
Tue, 20 Aug 2013Spy photographers have captured images in Norway from a video shoot for what appears to be an updated Kawasaki Ninja 1000. The images show two riders on an updated Ninja 1000 (or Z1000SX, as the bike is known in Europe). The saddlebags indicate this is the Z1000SX Touring variant offered in Europe, but the rest of the motorcycle is otherwise similar to the Ninja 1000 (which, by and by, won our 2011 Gentleman Sportbike Shootout over the Suzuki GSX1250FA and Yamaha FZ1.) The new Ninja 1000 doesn’t look much different from the 2013 model, apart from the new paint job.
