Kawasaki KZ750 description

I purchased this bike about a year ago off a friend of mine as a secondary bike. I planned to put some work into it to update the styling and electronics, and perhaps turn it into a Cafe Racer, but have since decided to put my money elsewhere. My wife has been asking me to sell it for months, so here it is.

1982 Kawasaki KZ750E Inline Four
20,929 Original Miles
Brand new chain
New spark plugs
Vance & Hines 4 into 1 exhaust

I will be selling it with 3 new parts which have not yet been installed - 1) A new clutch cable, 2) New speedometer cable, and 3) New ACDelco wet-cell battery.

The bike will need new tires in the very near future. They're fine for around town, but I wouldn't do any high-speed highway runs on them.

It runs well 90% of the time, but will sometimes bog down for a few seconds, then clear up and take off like a rocket. I suspect the carbs just need to be cleaned.

All-in-all this is a good bike to either put a little love into, or go full bore and turn it into something really special.

Buyer is responsible for pickup/shipping. I do not have the means to deliver it anywhere.

There will be a $500 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction close.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks for looking!

WSBK 2013: Moscow Race Report

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.

2014 WSBK – Laguna Seca Results

Mon, 14 Jul 2014

Marco Melandri rebounded from last week’s disappointing Portimao round to win Race One at Laguna Seca while Tom Sykes extended his championship lead with a win in a red-flagged Race Two. Melandri got taken out of the second Portimao race after his Aprilia teammate Sylvain Guintoli slid into his RSV4. Melandri looked eager to make up for that DNF, leading every lap of Race One on his way to his third win of the season.

Results From Day 2 Of World Supersport Testing At Phillip Island

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

If there’s one constant when it comes to World Supersport racing, it’s that Kenan Sofuoglu will be at or near the front at all times. The former champ has a special ability when it comes to lapping middleweight sportbikes as quickly as possible, and it showed again at the conclusion of World Supersport testing at Phillip Island. Sofuoglu’s best time of 1:33.506 was set during the first day of testing, but still nobody was able to beat it.
