Kawasaki Ninja description

Ninja Kawasaki 2001 ZX7R (p6) 750cc mod to 800cc

About 35k miles, about 30k of them put on myself. Know previous owner.
Modified to look like a street fighter / naked type. Took off all plastics. Have most of them. Front, 2 different types of rear, extra lights, mirrors, bar ends, sliders and extra stock pipe and other things.

Changed to electronic gauges and single front headlight
Has sliders.

Doesn't run now. Dont have time to fix. I think has to do with carburetor. Have started it by running start but would turn off shortly thereafter. Was my main mode of transportation, Now got lazy and got a car. Perfect starter bike if you want to learn. Got plenty of power but not too much. If you screw up by giving too much power or dropping clutch accidentally you should not do a wheelie/backflip. Pretty durable, been down but is made like a tank. (if someone tells you the bike hasn't been down, they are not telling the truth. Every bike/biker I ever knew dropped it at one point or another.)

Sounds sexy/beasty. Not like a harley but not like a bumble bee. This bike looks and sounds great. Just in need of some upkeep. I'm also moving so storage is tight where I'm at.

Contact me if interested or have questions. Serious buyers and inquiries only please. Reasonable offers accepted. Don't make an appointment if you're not planning to show up. I don't have time to deal with flakes and inconsiderate people.

Sold as is.

Cheers.

Kawasaki Announces EVO Entry for World Superbike Championship

Mon, 20 Jan 2014

Kawasaki announced it will enter a factory-backed EVO-category entry for the 2014 World Superbike Championship. Kawasaki has signed David Salom to ride the EVO Ninja ZX-10R. The team will be run by the same operation behind the non-EVO factory team of Loris Baz and reigning WSBK Champion Tom Sykes, forming a three-rider Kawasaki factory lineup.

2013 AMA Supercross Minneapolis Race Report

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

Hometown hero Ryan Dungey put a stop to Ryan Villopoto‘s winning streak, taking the victory before 48,846 supportive fans at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minn. The Red Bull KTM rider from nearby Belle Plaine, Minn., stalked Monster Energy Kawasaki‘s Villopoto for most of the race before taking the lead and winning the 20-lap race by just 0.903 seconds. The win put Dungey into second place in the standings ahead of Rockstar Suzuki‘s Davi Millsaps and perhaps more importantly, cut away at Villopoto’s points lead.

Kawasaki Z1R.

Thu, 09 Dec 2010

These two beautiful Z1R Kawasakis appeared at the annual Mooneyes Yokohama Custom show last weekend. With one sporting a street/strip look (spot the belly-scraping ride height and rigid rear struts) and the other undergoing a sort of modernisation, they both reminded me just how handsome and unique the original slab-sided Z1R was.  Judging by some of the other wild and weird exhibits I made a mental note to myself: must make sure I'm in Japan this time next year.
