Kawasaki Other description

THIS IS A VERY RARE MOTORCYCLE. IT IS COMPLETELY ORIGINAL. IT HAS THE ORIGINAL EXHAUST. 90% OF THESE 650'S HAD AFTERMARKET SLIP-ONS DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE ORIGINALS CRACKED AT THE MOUNTING BRACKETS. THE OTHER THING THAT MAKES IT UNIQUE IS THAT IT HAS TWIN CARBS. ALL 1968 650'S WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE A SINGLE CARBURETOR. I LOCATED A COLLECTOR IN JAPAN WHO TOLD ME THAT TOWARDS THE END OF 1968, KAWASAKI BUILT ABOUT 100 OF THESE TWIN CARB BIKES AND SOLD THEM TO THE PUBLIC FOR REAL WORLD TESTING. HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW MANY MADE IT TO AMERICA.

THE MOTORCYCLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARAGED. THE TANK HAS AGE FADING. I COULD HAVE HAD ALL OF THE TIN REPAINTED FOR $500. BIG TIME COLLECTORS ALWAYS SAY THEY ARE ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE. I HAVE PUT IT IN 3 SHOWS AND WON THE SURVIVOR CLASS EACH TIME. THE BIKE RUNS PERFECTLY. I TOOK  IT ON A 100-MILE RIDE WITHOUT ISSUES, AND IT IS SURPRISINGLY QUICK.

IT IS CURRENTLY REGISTERED IN CALIFORNIA.

Moreover, the introduction of the IMU inertial sensor, according to Japanese designers, made the electronics work more delicately than before.
