I've had this bike a few years, it had a stuck valve and sat around. I had a new top end put in the engine a couple years ago, and have just been slowly bringing it back to life ever since New body work and reproduction exhaust from Z1Parts.net New tires, tubes, wheel bearings. front wheel re-laced new o-ring chain and sprockets new fork tubes, seals, shocks of course all new brake lines, pads and shoes re-chromed fenders restored original gauges new bars, switches and all cables new seat original air box and K&N filter Lots of new rubber grommets, bushings, etc Last pictures are of a brown 74 and a blue 75 I have that are close to completion and will be listed soon A lot of time and money has gone into this one. WSBK 2013: Monza Race Report
Mon, 13 May 2013Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri split a pair of victories at Monza but the most biggest news from the World Superbike weekend was a strange series of appeals after Race Two that saw Tom Sykes finish third, relegated to fourth and then reinstated on the final step of the podium. The unusual mix-up occurred after Sykes, sitting in third place, ran off track and into the run off area on Turn 5 on his final lap. The Kawasaki rider returned to the track again in third place where he finished ahead of Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli.
Kawasaki Confirms New Z1000 Arriving at 2013 EICMA Show
Tue, 01 Oct 2013Kawasaki confirmed it will introduce a new Z1000 on Nov. 5 during the 2013 EICMA show in Milan. Team Green has been running a teaser campaign for the new Z for a couple of weeks now, so this isn’t exactly surprising news, except to confirm the new model will continue to use the Z1000 designation.
US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
