I've resuscitated a 1979 KZ400-B1 that spent the last 30 years in the original owner's garage. It's in beautiful, original, condition with 2,362 miles and all accessories, including engine guards, backrest & rack, and clear plastic windshield (not shown). Original tool kit, receipts and owners manual included. I installed a new battery, flushed the gearbox, unclogged and cleaned the carbs and replaced the intake hangers, gaskets and O-rings, I had the spokes tightened and wheels trued while replacing the tires. All rubber components are surprisingly pliable. Cleaning this bike up was like going back in time. She runs beautifully, too.
It's missing the air cleaner cap, a metal tray that covers the filter and hold the tool kit. It's P/N 11012-1004. The original owner probably took it off for increased air flow. Small ding in the gas tank. Otherwise, absolutely gorgeous. The bike is ready for sale. I'd like to get it in the hands of someone who has a personal attachment to the KZ family of bikes. But at Round Four at O.o Coliseum in Oakland, Calif., Ryan Villopoto showed why he remains the top dog, leading each lap for his second win of the season. The Kawasaki rider only trailed at the very start of the race, as Honda rider Vince Friese took the holeshot with Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton slotting in second through the first corner.

What might be less known, at least outside of his native Brazil perhaps, is Fittipaldi owns a pair of Kawasaki motorcycle dealerships. The 65-year-old former racer and his team has produced a limited edition run of 50 Kawasaki ZX-10R sportbikes in the black and gold colors of his 1972 F1 Championship-winning John Player Lotus 72 car.
