Kawasaki Other description

I've got a KZ750R1 GPZ Cafe Racer project, the bike is a 1982 with 20k miles. I got it this year from the person who started the project, the bike was running fine.

Over the summer I put maybe 150 miles on the bike, fixed a few things (new chain, new starter). Unfortunately the motor needs to be replaced or rebuilt now (the bike does not run) and I just don't have the time and am not a motorcycle mechanic (I am relocating to TX).

A few other details:

  • custom kerker exhaust
  • integrated directionals in the rear lights
  • cafe handle bars
  • new starter motor
  • new chain
  • recently changed oil
  • cover, lock and helmet included

It's a sharp looking bike with a lot of potential.

On Oct-10-13 at 06:01:10 PDT, seller added the following information:

Let me reiterate that the motor needs to be replaced. After spending several hours my mechanic identified that the motor was "basically shot and needed to be either replaced with a new Motor or rebuilt (with some pieces being re-machined)".

WSBK: 2012 Magny-Cours Results – Championship Decided by Half a Point

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

You would think carrying a 30.5 point lead into the final round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship would be a safe enough margin to win the title. Aprilia‘s Max Biaggi made it interesting, inexplicably crashing out of the first race at the finale in Magny-C0urs before scoring a fifth place finish in Race Two to give him a 0.5 point margin over Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes to win the title. The 358 to 357.5 point difference is the narrowest finish ever in WSBK.

Ninja Comes Back to Life

Mon, 27 Oct 2008

Kyle Dansie purchased his 1986 Kawasaki Ninja ZX 900 on eBay for $500. At the time, it had roughly 18,000 miles on it with only the tires, frame and suspension in working order. Kyle then managed to convert this motorcycle not only to run without gasoline, but to harness solar power to charge it.

Kawasaki And Costco Continue Referral Program

Fri, 19 Jul 2013

Pedestrian Costco members may have seen the Kawasaki motorcycles on display within the giant warehouses. Motorcycle riding Costco shoppers certainly did. The effort is part of referral program originally developed for automobile purchases. And now, after two successful years, Kawasaki and Costco are renewing their partnership.
