Kawasaki Other tech info
Kawasaki Other description
1992 Kawasaki Concours ZG1000 - sport touring motorcycle. Have too many bikes - this one needs to go. Bike hasn't seen much use recently. Runs great. Rides o.k. Will need some work from lack of use. At minimum: - Fork Seals - Front calipers rebuilt (dragging) - Headlight bulb - Oil Change Not the prettiest bike around it has dings, scrapes, plastic cracks and touchups - a great work commuter or with some elbow grease could make a good tourer. Previous owner was in 70's. Part it out and make money! I'm not willing to part out - but have priced low for quick sale. The backrest shown in the photo is not included with the sale. Good luck bidding. |

Get down on your knees and play
Thu, 09 Sep 2010This remarkable shot of Eddie Lawson is taken by Rich Chenet. It was August 1980 and Lawson was undergoing a titanic scrap for the AMA title with Wes Cooley and Freddie Spencer here at Pocono Raceway in Philladelphia. The circuit is known as the 'Tricky Triangle' amongst the NASCAR drivers but the superbikes used a mix of infield and sections of the banked circuit.
Old boys up front and where are the new 600 Gixers?
Mon, 28 Feb 2011As I’ve been gagging for the new race season to kick off so it was almost a pleasure getting up at stupid 0 clock to watch the World Superbike Championship opener at Phillip Island last weekend. I have to say Messrs Burnicle and Whitham were on form although I was disappointed there were none of the usual verbal attacks on each other that always add to the entertainment. I’m sure they will put things right soon but the world superbike regulars must have been disheartened that Moto GP veterans nailed five of the six available rostrum slots.
2013 AMA Supercross Houston Race Report
Mon, 08 Apr 2013Ryan Villopoto captured his fifth-consecutive AMA Supercross win and sixth in seven rounds with a victory in the main event at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider passed holeshot-taker Mike Alessi on the opening lap and led the rest of the way for the win. Alessi, riding the Motoconcepts Racing Suzuki RM-Z450, remained in the hunt for the first few laps but soon gave way to a group including Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Trey Canard, Red Bull KTM‘s Ryan Dungey and Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart.
