Kawasaki Other description

1995 Kawasaki Police Motorcycle.  Needs TLC and a good mechanic.

Clean and clear title!

Has been in storage for the last few years and has some places that were chewed by rats (I know!  Gross!)

Everything is original and there are some places with road rash that you would expect to see on a cop bike that has seen some action.

No radio box.  Tires are run-flats and although they are older are still holding air.

NOT CURRENTLY RUNNING.  Hasn't been ridden or started in over 6 years.

Copy of Clymers shop manual goes with the bike.

I have the original keys from the police department that owned the motorcycle before me.

I am heading off to graduate school in 6 weeks and do not have the time or patience to part the bike out and Mom wants it out of her garage.  You can part it out or have an awesome project bike.

Local Pick-up preferred (Hampton VA 23661)

Will also work with your shipper or I can recommend a shipper if you are on the eastern side of the country.  Just coordinate with me when pick up will be.  Must be paid for and picked by August 15th.

Ninja Comes Back to Life

Mon, 27 Oct 2008

Kyle Dansie purchased his 1986 Kawasaki Ninja ZX 900 on eBay for $500. At the time, it had roughly 18,000 miles on it with only the tires, frame and suspension in working order. Kyle then managed to convert this motorcycle not only to run without gasoline, but to harness solar power to charge it.

New: Venhill 888 fast-action twistgrips

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

CONTROL specialist Venhill has launched its new 888 range of bike-specific fast action twistgrips.  Supplied complete with the company's top of the range Featherlight cables, the kits are designed for a straightforward replacement of the factory-fitted equipment.  Bike-specific kits are now available for the Honda CBR600F, Kawasaki ZX-6R/ZX-10R, Suzuki GSX-R600/750, Triumph 675 Daytona and Yamaha R1/R6, among others, with prices from £105. Here's Venhill's description of the new product: "Manufactured with a robust CNC machined alloy body, the 888 fast action twistgrip provides a choice of two settings and is supplied with two rotors so that riders can select the throttle action that best suits the riding conditions.  Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.

NZ Superbike Series Points Leader Is A Grandfather Of Three!

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Dennis Charlett is stamping his authority on the New Zealand Superbike championship. The 45 year-old father of five and grandfather of three (no, those aren’t typos) won the first three races of the season during the series opener in Christchurch, placing him firmly at the top of the points standings heading into round two at Levels Raceway, near Timaru. The championship favorite certainly got the wake-up call as Taupo’s Suzuki rider Scott Moir raced to a convincing win in Saturday’s Superbike race, while Charlett was forced to settle for fourth place.
