2013 Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Report

After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. Wed, 14 May 2014Nilox, the action camera sponsor for World Superbike, makes it a point to film an on-board lap of each track on the calendar before each race weekend. A few weeks ago we brought you footage of Giuliano Rovelli lapping a Honda CBR1000RR SP around Assen. This week Rovelli is back, this time aboard a Kawasaki ZX-10R, giving us a rapid tour of Imola, the track made famous by the tragic passing of Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna 20 years ago, and also by the legendary battle between Troy Bayliss and Colin Edwards in 2002 which decided the championship.
2011-2012 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Recalled for Crankcase Oil Leak
Fri, 10 Aug 2012Kawasaki is issuing a recall on its 2011 and 2012 Ninja ZX-10R due to a potential oil leak in the crankcase. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, engine oil may leak from the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R‘s crankcase from a machined area where the starter is mounted. Leaked oil may pool on top of the crank case and, under continued use, spill onto the rear tire, reducing traction and increasing the risk of a crash.
