Kawasaki Other description

2010 KAWASAKI VN1700CAF, To be fair, this Nomad is one of the prettiest bikes in our store...new or pre-owned. A trade for a Gold Wing, this VN1700CAF in black and gold is in perfect shape. Rick took great care of the bike but he and his wife knew it was time to move up to the gold standard. If you are not ready for the gold standard but are ready for a spectacular Nomad, come see this bike. I think you will agree...this couple had great taste!

A Weighty Issue

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

For as long as I can remember, motorcycle manufacturers have been playing fast and loose with regard to what they claim for the weight of their bikes. The “dry weights” they foisted upon us had little basis in reality. Adjectives fail me.  This almost seems like one of those sci-fi movies where an evil scientist tries to cross two deadly animals together to create the ultimate killing machine. So what are we looking at?  It seems to be the deformed love child of a Citroën Xantia and a Kawasaki 1000 RX. This custom project, called “Snaefell“, cost its creator about 15000 Euros and 10 years of part time work.

Geeky snippets ahead of the Phillip Island MotoGP

Tue, 13 Oct 2009

Valentino Rossi has finished on the podium eleven times in his twelve visits to Phillip Island across all three GP classes. The only race at Phillip Island that he did not finish in the top three was on his first visit riding a 125cc machine in 1997 when he finished sixth. In 1998 and 1999 he won the 250cc races and since then has had nine podiums in the premier-class including five victories, the last of which was in 2005.
